Yeah you just reminded me of the documentary I saw on Rwanda, last night, Romeo D'Allaire, the Canadian UN Commander in Rwanda at the time said he had an opportunity to go and raid and scoop up all the arms caches of the Hutus, he knew exactly where they were, and he knew they were planning on massacring the Tutsis (or vice versa, whatever and to his utter astonishment, the UN said no, they were concerned about needless bloodshed or words to that effect - D'Allaire went on to have a breakdown as he watched the slaughter helplessly. The UN personfies evil.
Now if it had been General Lew McKenzie the other infamous Canadian UN commander, in the former Yugoslavia, he would have said, fuck the UN and gone in and gotten those caches and worried about the repercussions later.......
They tried to get Lew to run for Prime Minister to no avail.
