Senate has just started debate on Gonzales nomination for AG..Spector is leading off..he's just awful..not sure if he's speaking for or against the nomination..Debate is supposed to end today, with a vote also today...

They did this stuff as a way of saying the Republicans were wasting everyone's time debating on Bush's judicial nominees. The Republicans would speak on the nominee, and the Democrats would read sob stories from constituents about "my life is going to hell" etc. etc.

Oh, Spector saying that debate will go till 8:00 PM, with the vote at 9:30AM tomorrow. Plus some other mumbo-jumbo.
We have a niece getting married in July and her mother told me to start saving NOW (my daughter will be 11 on Friday) for her wedding. I am thankful to my parents for giving us a beautiful and resplendent wedding...as they did my sister and her husband..but FOUR? Ouch!

This is a good month for weddings, because except for Valentine's Day, no one gets married in this month. We got good prices and service for flowers, reception hall, catering, etc.
The BAD part on having a wedding in February is that EVERYONE INVITED SHOWS UP!!! $$$$$$$$

The dems are ignoring it. I heard just a snippet of the Harry and Nancy show from yesterday and the part I did hear was her asserting that the president just wanted to impose a new plan without discussing it, and like you I thought of the commission that has been formed which puts the lie to her rantings.
Specter now referring to Kennedy's "torrid prose" about the memo that was written (not by Gonzales) and he cited yet another memo and Specter is pointing out Judge Gonzales had nothing to do with that memo.
