Sen. Clinton passes out during speech
BUFFALO, N.Y. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton fainted Monday during a speech on Social Security after complaining of flulike symptoms.
She received medical attention at the scene and went on to give another speech in the afternoon.
Clinton aides said doctors thought she had a stomach virus. She fell ill about five minutes into her lunchtime speech, said Erie County Democratic Chairman Len Lenihan, who was at the Women's TAP fund-raiser at a private club.
Clinton left the podium and continued speaking from a chair, then said she needed a break and left the room, Lenihan said. She returned to the podium a short time later but fainted before resuming her speech.
The room was cleared, and Clinton was checked by a doctor who attended the event.
Clinton, 57, was smiling when she walked out of the club, general manager Vincent Tracy said.
Later Monday, she delivered a speech about health care at Canisius College. Clinton was to return to Washington after the speech.
During an earlier editorial board meeting Monday at The Buffalo News, Clinton complained about suffering from a flulike bug that affected several of her staff members during a weekend retreat in Westchester County, where she lives.
Drudge has a brutal picture of the junior senator from NY on his site. It's a keeper.
My condolences to the bug.
Being "passed out" is simply a metaphor for her time in Congress.
Doesn't anyone have a picture of the faint itself ?
Must've caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror again...
The bug probably decided to leave sooner than its 24.
Can we get an online rendition of Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" to match your pic...
I would not have cared if she had dropped dead,I am sorry to say.
The physiological/psychological trauma caused by her phony 'move to the center' was too much for her system to handle, and it just gave out.
Ok,when President Bush 41 got sick in Japan the video was all over the networks, all over the world really. Any video of Hillary splattered all over the TV? nah, that wouldnt be proper would it?
Someone should tell the junior Senator to stop spreading her filthy germs around (and also that litle flu bug she's got).
This should raise questions about her ability to remain in the Senate and should outright prohibit any run for the presidency. There HAVE to be serious health concerns here. ;-)
No one's said what folks
alwayws say when girls act odd:
Maybe she's pregnant!
If she was so ill, why didn't she cancel...she has now exposed all those attending to her 24hr bug...
My thoughts, too.
