More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.
How would you like to have 6'6" Michael hovering over you with a big needle? Schiavo is known for his explosive temper. I wonder how he treats his patients?
Can a patient refuse treatment from Michael R. Schiavo? I wonder if some have avoided that particular emergency room to make sure that he is not their attending nurse. It would be interesting to see if any patients have sued that emergency room because of Schiavo. I certainly would decline his services.
However, If someone has a different opinion, that's what free republic is all about to begin with.
If someone is BLATANTLY LYING they usually run out of lies after awhile but it it's a MOLE, lazamataz's thread is a cautionary tale to be careful who you freepmail with. Freepmails can be copied and pasted - they aren't really private if the other party is a MOLE.
I'm afraid to turn on the radio or tv this afternoon. I haven't heard what J. Greer's decision of the day is regarding his DEATH WARRANT OF FEB. 2000.

TAMPA, Fla. -- A Pinellas judge has turned down a request to set aside his order allowing Terri Schiavo's feeding tube be removed. This closes another legal avenue to her parents in their quest to keep her alive.

Pinellas Circuit Court Judge George Greer says that attorneys of parents Robert and Mary Schindler don't have sufficient legal basis to move toward a hearing on the issues they raised last month.
The attorneys had asked Greer to set aside his order allowing her feeding-tube removed based on their contention that Terri Schiavo's due process rights were violated when she was not appointed independent legal representation.
I haven't checked this thread to see if this was reported by others. Will go check now, sorry if this ends up to be dupliate information.

I sure hope that good new attorney has got something u his sleeve on this one. And that lousy Second District Court of Appeals is doing exactly what Felos asked them to do. Now when the Appelet Court turns down a terri Appeal they issue nothing in writing, no reasons why. Just the words, "No". That way their reasons for turning down the appeal can't be challenged.
I am sad to say it, and I had such high hopes because truly I thought this new Gibbs attorney was really sharp, but in my heart I am already beginning to mourn Terri. It's sad, it's really sad.
When is Greer going to be impeached and investigated? If he's not committed any crimes, he then gets to go free.
Terri gets a stay and a different judge while Greer is awaiting a hearing before the full Florida House. That's all I ask.

Ummm I don't think this will "help" Terri. Bascially it says that Judge Greer is not going to continue the stay he ordered against removing her feeding tube. basically Michael can, as we speak remove Terri's feeding tube. The stay is over, Judge Greer lifted the previous stay.
Please contact the U.S. Dept. of Justice and the Dept. of Health & Human Services. HHS has an inspector general. Someone at the national level NEEDS TO GET BUSY INVESTIGATING THIS CRIME IN PROGRESS.
(it has nothing to do with the skill of Terri's parents' attorneys.) Greer is as determined as Michael to carry out the death sentence. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF REASONS WHY GREER SHOULD BE IMPEACHED AND INVESTIGATED.
Terri has never had an attorney representing her which is a retained right. Neither Greer, the 2nd DCA or the Fla Supreme court seem to know that even death row inmates get legal representation.
I don't think that Greer even read Gibbs' Brief. I did and it was brilliant.
To be honest, in general, I am not BIG on the idea of male nurses, being the terrible sexist that I am.

Yes I also read the brief that Gibbs wrote. It is very substantive. Today Greer said that there is not enough "meat" in the brief to even warrant a hearing. I think folks this is basically "Game Over" time.
The stay is lifted and Greer will not schedule any further hearings. Game over. (not saying that glib, more resolute is the way I mean it)
It is a surreal existence - like the rest of us only much worse. Prayers for Terri, the Schindlers and Terri's siblings. Faith carries them and they also appreciate freepers' prayers and support.
