More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.
I don't talk to the trolls. If someone is sincere, I try to explain nicely whats going on. I don't want to chase anyone away who could become informed and be a Terri supporter.
When Terri's plight came to the public's attention, I mentioned it to a close friend. He stated she should be let go and die. I tried to explain but he was sure he was right so I shut up. A few months later he was told he had lung cancer. Before he died he had changed his mind about Terri. It wasn't anything I said to him, but when your own death is close, you must rethink and know how precious life is.
When you answer the trools it just encourages them. However I did notice that 3 of them had all registered the same week last Oct.
There was a former co-worker of HINO's, a Trudy Capone.
She signed an affidavit on May 9, 2001, stating "Michael confided in me all the time about Terri ... He said to me many times that he had no idea what her wishes were."

FACTS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT TERRI SCHIAVO'S CASE
Michael Schiavo has authority to make all decisions for Terri Schindler Schiavo because he is her court-appointed guardian, not because he is her husband.
Michael not only seeks to remove Terri’s feeding tube. He also continues to deny consent for Terri to take food by mouth, or even to have a swallowing test.
Dr. Ronald Cranford, who testified on behalf of Michael in the case to remove Terri’s food and fluids, said that patients like Terri can take food by mouth.
Cranford has said that he would consider spoon-feeding to be "medical treatment."
Cranford has said that spoon-feeding is denied because it "would be totally inconsistent" with what was wanted (e.g. the patient’s death).
For more than three years, Michael has refused to allow Terri to be taken outdoors to feel fresh air, sunshine or a cool breeze.
Michael continues to suppress media access to videotapes that clearly show Terri responding to others.
In 1992, Michael filed and won a malpractice case in which a significant award was made for Terri’s rehabilitation and therapy. The award was based, in part, on expert testimony that she would live a normal life span.
During the time he was seeking the malpractice award, Michael never indicated that Terri would want to die if she were severely disabled.
Michael has refused to permit any of the money from the malpractice award to be used for Terri’s rehabilitation or therapy. Instead, most of the money was used for lawyers Michael hired to help end Terri's life.
Not long after Terri's injury, Michael melted down her wedding and engagement rings to make a ring for himself.
Michael has moved on with his life. He is in a long term intimate relationship with another woman with whom he has two children.
Terri’s family -- her parents, her brother and her sister – has begged Michael to let them care for Terri. He has refused.

But he would not be her guardian if he were merely an euthanasia-supporting nurse in an emergency room. Why, oh why, does George W. Greer adhere to this "husband" lie? I have often wondered if patients in that emergency room ask for nurses other than Michael R. Schiavo. Or is he so popular that patients want and demand his hands-on services?
Sad to say, Michael Schiavo is a hero to many. Just like Dr. Jack Kervorkian is a hero to many. It's a battle of good and evil. Period.
I'm sorry, TR, I am not following you. Patients in what emergency room?
Can patients checking into this emergency room ask that Michael R. Schiavo NOT be the nurse in their case? Or must they take Schiavo if he is sent by the administrators?

If a patient doesn't want a certain nurse like a Michael Schiavo, they can request another nurse. But I've heard that some people have said they did not want Schiavo as their nurse.
