Welcome to the Internet Smile Factor.

Margaret Spellings was sworn in as the new Education Secretary.

President Bush welcomed the Detroit Pistons, NBA champions, in a ceremony at the White House today.

Bush named Dr. Jack Crouch II to be Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor. Dr. Crouch is U.S. Ambassador to Romania.

The president will give his State of the Union Address on Wednesday, February 2.

Joining Senators Kennedy and Kerry in the Political Fossil Corner, Gorbachev called the Iraq elections fake, and a profanation. Senator James McDermottt, D-WA ("Baghdad Jim") emitted similar frantic wailings.

Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island.

I cannot tell you how bored I am with the M. Jackson thing. Just wake me when it's over.

I felt the same way about ... Scott Peterson... had to stop and think of his name. He killed his wife and baby. I was SO not interested in the trial, etc. Just let me know when they pull the plug.

Agree completely. There is no better way to promote evil than to rub it in incessantly.

I like your tag line...right on!

Barbara Boxer and her rant

Good point. She would step over a dead body to point
out a person with a sliver.

Thank you. I would appreciate that. My eyes have been tearing up constantly the last 2 days at all the images. FOX news, Brit HUme's show ended today with a tribute that was choreographed to Iraq's national anthem and I became a blubbering mass. Can you imagine what the next 10 years might bring to them? It is going to be an honor to watch.

Re: Miss Beasley, LOL!

We're Miss Beasley Bush Bots!

The White House needs to have Official Miss Beasley merchandise.

Here's another angle to consider about W's liking strong women. If GHW Bush hadn't been a strong counterpart to Bar, W would have gotten a warped picture of feminine strength -- of women overrunning men. It takes a strong man to stand up to Barbara Bush and earn her respect. It was the balance of the strength of both parents that shaped W into such a fine human being, husband, and leader.

BRAVA!!

Couldn't have said it better myself, Gretchen! W couldn't have developed into such a strong AND loving man without a strong mother AND strong father.

But I was thinking today that most men marry someone more like their mothers, but W married someone more like his Dad, I think. If Laura were like Bar, there might be some fistfights going on in the White House Residence! ;o)

One question for you, Gretchen (or anyone else), before I retire for the night here.............do you have a good photo server? Mine is still on the fritz, and before I do the Dose tomorrow, I really need one that functions. I like to get them organized before I post, and can't do that (the way I like to) directly off of Yahoo.....

OWF... Why would you need a photo server?

I use the Address where they're posted. I have a file that I setup that allows me to copy and paste the properties of each photo between the quotation marks of each HTML line and a format for copying and pasting the Quote of the day and the body of the thread along with the ping list. Would you like me to send it to you in FR mail?

Cause I'm really dumb and that's all I know how to do?? :o)

(Actually, that's how I can always find the pics I want when I want them........I store them in separate albums in a very organized fashion).

Seriously though, if you can tell me via freepmail how you do it, I'd appreciate it. I'm heading for bed now (daughter's team won another indoor soccer game tonight, and I just got home), but I'll check for it in the morning.

ALSO, I'm going to read that very intriguing vodka story!

The "hates Republicans" comment means, if nothing else, that Howard Dean doesn't have a lick of common sense and can't control his tongue. Just what we don't ever need as POTUS.

I really like the green one, but I'd like to see it with a white shirt instead of the off white bluish shirt.

If I hear the Democrats demand a detailed "Exit Strategy" for Iraq, I think I'm gonna scream.

What part of this statement "We will remain in Iraq until the mission is complete" does the Democrats not understand?

What "{Exit Strategy" did they demand from Bill Clinton when he sent our troops into the Baltic's? 10 years later and we are still there, and no "Exit Strategy"
