A little story - a co-worker who chased everything in skirts - under the table business ethics - had three daughters - finally had a son but was born with Down's Syndrome. Never have I seen a man so changed. This child, this son he always wanted was indeed a blessing from God, as you say.

No matter the crappy day you may have. It is impossible to hold onto that when they run and throw their arms around your neck and smother you with kisses. Life's ups and downs fade into nothingness when compared to that. They change your universe.

I read about this last evening on another post. I was physically ill and then went into the bedroom of my youngest son, nearly 22 years old with Down Syndrome, to hug him. He is the greatest blessing my family and community have ever had. There will be a special place in hell for those who sent that angel on a mission of death.

Another parent of a disabled child told once that God only gives special children to special parents. He searched and searched for just the right ones before he placed them in their hands.
