Dear God. And the poor child probably had no idea what was really going on. This is about as low as low can get. I pray God will have mercy on his soul, and I'm sure he will.
Very well said pbrown. And did indeed change my co-worker's universe immediately. He channeled his energy and love onto that child who is now in early 20's and goes just about everywhere with his father - an outspoken advocate for the group he is associated with and been written up in the paper at least twice over the years. I use his sweet son as an example of a blessing indeed and think of them often as an inspiration.
They're wonderful. My closest friend has a beautiful daughter who is Downs and she's the most precious and Godly person I know. She has a sense of the spirit that most of us never will have. I love her dearly.
I'm my little girls advocate. I can't find the words to express how much she means to us, or how she makes our world truely more beautiful. To see things through her eyes is something to behold. How blessed we feel to have her.
Isn't it a beautiful spirit....innocence that inspires us to always be a better person than we are.
The terrorists know no bounds. They have rationalized all possible actions as being sanctioned by their religion. This war would be so short if we could do the same thing.
I have a child with Down Syndrome so this hits close to home. We are seeing the true face of evil and he is roaming this world in human form.
That'll win the hearts and minds.
I cannot wish sweeter blessings for you than you already have. Listening to you and a couple others on here brings home the terrorists' actions to be even more barbaric and inhuman.
I could think of nothing worse that they could do that would rival such a despicable act of murder, than to use one of God's most precious gifts of a disabled child.

Thanks for the ping. Let me remind everyone of the GOOD news in this article; the seven suicide bombers who carried out attacks at polling stations in Iraq WERE FOREIGNERS.
It sure is! I only met one Downs child who wasn't sweet but it may have been the parents who didn't accept her the way she is. She seemed very angry. But that's certainly the exception.
