Statement By RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman On John Kerry's Appearance On Meet The Press

“On a day when all Americans, regardless of party affiliation, are celebrating the growth of freedom and honoring the sacrifices of American and Iraqi troops with elections in Iraq, it's sad that John Kerry has chosen once again to offer vacillation and defeatism. Even after the first free elections in Iraq in more than 50 years John Kerry still believes Iraq is more of terrorist threat than when the brutal tyrant Saddam Hussein was in power and even more remarkably Kerry is now once again for funding our troops, after being for the funding before he was against it.”

-Ken Mehlman, RNC Chairman

Let's get this latest version straight. He was on the boat for 90 days and he doesn't know exactly when he was 5 miles in Cambodia taking CIA on a gun running trip, breaking every International Law? This even though he filmed and journalized daily. Sumptin smells like Water Buffalo????

Pray for W and Our Troops

I wonder if the Swift Boat Vets have any statement on Kerry's
statements in this edition of Meet the Press.

sKerry's performance was sickening. I did hear him say that he'll sign his SF180. I can't wait until he does. I hope that the Swiftboat Vets will disect his record for us. Truly, though, I don't expect that sKerry can afford to release his records. They'll show him to be the arrogant cowardly liar he is.

(1-30-05) SEN. KERRY: I still have the hat that he gave me, and I hope the guy would come out of the woodwork and say, "I'm the guy who went up with John Kerry. We delivered weapons to the Khmer Rouge on the coastline of Cambodia." We went out of Ha Tien, which is right in Vietnam. We went north up into the border. And I have some photographs of that, and that's what we did. So, you know, the two were jumbled together, but we were on the Cambodian border on Christmas Eve, absolutely.

( 3-27-86) Sen. Kerry: Mr. President, I remember Christmas of 1968 sitting on a gunboat in Cambodia. I remember what it was like to be shot at by Vietnamese and Khmer Rouge and Cambodians, and have the President of the United States telling the American people that I was not there; the troops were not in Cambodia. I have that memory which is seared-seared-in me, that says to me, before we send another generation into harm's way we have a responsibility in the U.S. Senate to go the last step, to make the best effort possible in order to avoid that kind of conflict.

I'm really confused now. Was he delivering weapons to the Khmer Rouge or was he being shot at by the Khmer Rouge???

I'm just a puffy civilian and I've never worn so much as a postal uniform, but I want to speak up to say I honor our vets and their service and John F. Kerry is no Goddamned good.

Lessee, Kerry says that we are not safer because we took down Iraq, then a couple of paragraphs later, he says we are safer.

He could give George Orwell a few pointers.

I was watching the show yesterday...and my 7 year old came in and started watching the show with me.

She looked at Kerry and asked.."Isn't that the guy who lies all the time??"

A 7 year old 'gets it'....while the mainstream press does not.

What a world!!!

When will the mighty MSM, so deft at investigating the life of President Bush in such minute detail that they can report what he had for breakfast on any given day in the past fifty some years and how many helpings he had of each item on the table, admit that it knows Kerry is a liar and the Swifties are telling it just like it is?

Each day the MSM chooses covering Kerry's @$$ over retaining even a smidgen of credibility, they are exploring a new low, never before visited by honorable human beings.

John Faux Kerry took some sea stories and some movies and turned them into his Walter Mitty alternative reality. He has told these lies for so long, he can’t distinguish what is truth and what is a lie.

You know what the difference is between a sea story and a fairy tail? The fairy tail starts out “Once upon a time” and a sea story starts out “Now this ain’t no sh*t.”

The Khmer Rouge were mercenaries for the highest bid. There was some CIA support provided.

His Cambodia trip came from the movie “Apocalypse Now.”

One version of his Cambodia trip has the South Vietnamese allies drunk celebrating Christmas and shooting at him. The South Vietnamese didn’t celebrate Christmas; they celebrate Tet, which is Chinese New Years.

Another version has the Khmer Rouge shooting at him while celebrating Christmas. Sunday, he said they were delivering arms to the Khmer Rouge. Which is it? Again, the Khmer Rouge celebrate Tet or Chinese New Years.

If anyone was drunk celebrating Christmas, it would have been the Americans, Australians, or Canadians. Maybe his own troops were drunk and shooting at him. I couldn’t blame them.

His own dairy says he was at the home base for Christmas.

Americans in PBR’s like the boats in “Apocalypse Now” patrolled the Cambodian border to keep any ships or boats out. A Swift Boat had twin diesels that could be heard for miles. No one in their right mind would send a Swift Boat on a secret mission. They would send a PBR like in the movie.

His story of visiting Da Nang while on the USS Gridley is nonsense. I was there in 1965, 1966, 1967, and 1972. His story is pure BS as supported by his shipmate’s testimony. He actually believed the sea stories his shipmates told him and made it his alternative reality.

Yes, I did go into Cambodia on a mission. Was it on that night? No, it was not on that night. But we were right on the Cambodian border that night. We were ambushed there, as a matter of fact.

LOL

Tonk,

The more I read his stories, the history, and the Vet accounts....

More and more I wonder, was Kerry ever taken prisoner?

Was that why he went into Cambodia? As a POW?

I just got home from CPAC in DC. One of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth was there and told how Steve Gardner was forced by the Vietnamese to stand in a metal box, uninterrupted, for SEVEN MONTHS! John Kerry should serve time in prison for what he did to these fine men. Every time he pokes his head up, I will help the Swift Vets pound it down again.
