The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

WASHINGTON -- Mosques across the U.S. continue to carry books and pamphlets describing non-Muslims as "infidels" and promoting intolerance against Western society, according to a forthcoming study by Freedom House, a U.S. human-rights group.

Despite vows from American Islamic leaders after Sept. 11, 2001, to proselytize peacefully, New York based Freedom House researchers found 57 documents with incendiary material in more than a dozen mosques and Islamic centers in six states and Washington, D.C., visited over the past year.

Emergency Evacuation at ORNL

Fifteen workers were evacuated from a building on the ORNL Reservation.

WVLT Volunteer TV's Eric Waddell has been in Oak Ridge all day and has the latest on what’s going on.

Building 7920 on the grounds of Oak Ridge National Lab was evacuated just moments before eleven this morning because of a radiation leak.

15 people were escorted out of the building.

ORNL officials say there wasn't any contamination to personnel and no apparent release that would affect the environment. The area was evacuated in two steps: the building, and then surrounding buildings.

Now they're trying to figure out what happened. A

at this time, all the buildings in the 7900 section of ORNL remains shut down, including the nearby nuclear reactor known as HIFER.

Police Arrest Man with Possible Ties to Terrorism


JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Police in Jacksonville say they've arrested a man who could have ties to terrorism. Now, they're sending his fingerprints to the FBI.

Authorities arrested Mohamed Pesher Arsensia for falsely identifying himself. Police say he told them his last name was also Mohamed. They say Arsensia was trespassing at a tackle and gun club on San Jose Boulevard.
