The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Some American Mosques Carry Extremist Tracts, Study Says
Full Story

WASHINGTON -- Mosques across the U.S. continue to carry books and pamphlets describing non-Muslims as "infidels" and promoting intolerance against Western society, according to a forthcoming study by Freedom House, a U.S. human-rights group.

Despite vows from American Islamic leaders after Sept. 11, 2001, to proselytize peacefully, New York based Freedom House researchers found 57 documents with incendiary material in more than a dozen mosques and Islamic centers in six states and Washington, D.C., visited over the past year.

not related;for us smokers:

NO CONNECTION BETWEEN SECOND-HAND SMOKE AND DEATH:

Or, more properly, LITTLE effect, ranging from one percent downward. This is so far the most exhaustive, longest running study on second-hand smoke and death and, wonder of wonders, it has not been suppressed by the BMJ, as has the earlier study by the World Health Organization that had similar findings. This study, by research professor James Enstrom of UCLA and professor Geoffery Kabat of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, published their study in the BMJ in May, 2003. It showed that their 39-year study of 35,561 Californians who had never smoked showed "no casual relationship between exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) and tobacco-related mortality." This study wasn't "suppressed" by BMJ as WHO's was when it came out (I have a copy of one of the early stories about it before the "fix was in") but have you read ANYTHING about this study in the mainstream media? The World Health Organization is still loudly claiming thousands of deaths from ETS in spite of its suppressed study. How can we depend on WHO for ANYTHING when they suppress their own study because it didn't fit their preconceived agenda? (Source: British Medical Journal, 5/03) [Posted 2/28/05]

“There are still a few left, but they are on the run, but what matters is that we have broken the backbone of their entire structure,” he said.

Am I the only one wondering how gullible they think we are? IMHO they are wounded, even limping, but like a rodent infestation, they keep coming back, just like those who support the ACLU and CAIR, and we all know how many hoops we are forced to jump through because of their neverending attacks. It's not the backbone (too many people interested in saving the "cells" of the backbone) they need to break, but the heart and circulation of those involved.

Videos showing Taliban fighting found with captured fighter

It appears some of the Taliban fighters wanted to show how cool they were (against Taliban policy). All they did was document their complicity in the attack. Survivors should have a jail cell waiting for them and a trial with punishment meted accordingly. These video-taping fighters are becoming the Middle East version of stupid criminals.

Well thanks for that speculation ZionForever.

I have a friend who says we should always be on alert for terrorists all the time. No speculation involved. His alert level status is based on common sense.
