Denny Crane: "I want two things. First God and then Fox News."
And the dancin' voters on CNN are in Baquba, which is "in the heart of the Sunni Triangle."
If you see her mug on Fox again during this please fire off an e-mail to Fox News and tell them to drop her!
Yeah, either it could be marines who served in Iraq or local Iraqis. Either way, good for them. I hope, in the coming year, we have more to celebrate.
I suppose like the rest of you freedom-lovers, I'm still up watching the news of the election in Iraq -- 3am EST! I cannot begin to express the pride and the joy I feel tonight as I watch the reports coming in on the elections that our brave men and women in uniform, along with our brave Commander-in-Chief of course, brought to fruition today. God bless all of our troops and all of the brave Iraqis who are voting today. Please keep them all safe from harm on this very special day in history.
By the way, Spirit of America (www.spiritofamerica.net) is planning to broadcast video and pictures today from the elections. CSPAN is planning a TV broadcast of the Spirit of America news from 2-4pm EST today. The folks behind Friends of Democracy (www.friendsofdemocracy.org) will be blogging from Iraq on the events during the election today as well. Anyone else in need of a 12-step program for news junkies?...
Go get 'em, Iraqis!!!
Dancing voters...I''m almost tempted to watch CNN to see it. (Sure beats those nerve grating ululus...LOL) WhoooHooo!
Drudge has that and a flashing light
Looks like Bob Shrum is back in business.
"Conversely, I hope that Iraqis are wanting to vote because they know he's alive and can see what Democracy will do to un-do his reign."
Good point, yes I would imagine that this is the first time in a long long time that individual Iraqi's feel that they have some power and can change things. Today it may seem symbolic to many but for Iraqi's it is more than that.
As a fellow freeper who will sleep through Sunday...I say "right on!"
I just heard a report that one of the suicide bombers was a downs syndrome child that was blown up. That just breaks my heart.
Damn them.
It's really cool that so many Americans from so many diverse backgrounds are working together with the Iraqis to make this work. Those kids from inner cities and so many other places are creating something, they are making history. This is the biggest thing they'll ever do. What heroes they are. Their kids and grandkids will be so proud of them.
Who would be Secretary of Defense.....Saddam Hussein or Ramsey Clark?
