It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.
President Ghazi Yawer seems like he's saying "Iraq 1, terrorists 0".
Boston? Yikes! I grew up in CT, and my feet were always cold in the winter. (Yay for the Sox!)
Denny Crane: "I want two things. First God and then Fox News."
I have to admit, even though he pulled some really stupid sh!t in Afghanistan, his coverage of this event has been fairly good.
yep..and they know it too....it is their children's future...

Yes, I agree with that. It really is about freedom's empowerment, which is exactly what Bush has been all about in addressing the situation.
I've gotta clock out ... I'm exhausted. En la manana!
omg I was listening to CNN and you would think Iraq is doomed. turned it to Fox and there it is... truly portraying it for what it is.. an important day in the history of mankind. MSM is fighting tooth and nail... democracy in Iraq is poison in the waterwell of the elitist leftists of the world.

Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi walks to cast his ballot for the national assembly in Baghdad January 30, 2005. A suicide bomber blew himself up in a queue of voters outside a west Baghdad polling station on Sunday, causing several casualties, and a blast at another polling centre in Sadr City killed at least four people, officials said. Police said mortar attacks on several polling stations around Baghdad had killed and wounded several people but did not have precise casualty figures. Earlier, a suicide car bomb attack outside another polling centre in western Baghdad killed a policeman and wounded four people. REUTERS/Chris Helgren
I can hear it now---millions will have voted successfully and safely, but---
the MSM and John Kerry on Meet the Press will emphasize the ones (God Bless them) that were hurt or killed---
I have never, ever heard a dem that has looked at a glass as half-full, it is always half-empty. I take that back, I think I have heard Joe Lieberman and Zell Miller have a half-full moment or two--
And, Bush is always a half-full guy---he is enthusiastic FOR the Iraqi people, not his legacy (which is what even some Rep. writers would have you believe)--I think NOW that the dems still haven't backed off their bashing him even after the election, NOW he would relish the legacy so he could through it in their faces for years to come!
You also have to realize that a good number of Iraqis have joined the police and the army and they have died building their country. Our media doesn't focus on it because to do so would make the Americans feel better about our sacrifices.. and that's the last thing they want to do.
Yes, it's a joke. His real name is Gerald King. :-)
I just heard Shep's comment about the Chem boots.
That's the way it's always been.
I'm in San diego. about five minutes ago a neighbor set off five full minutes of fireworks. It's a very diverse little neighborhood. My guess.....celebration! Woo-Hoo!
hasta la pasta
Yeah, Shep said "While the Iraqi people were starving in the dark, Saddam was building this."
hey...when did you come on this thread??
Charleston buddy here...
I'm still catching up on this thread (just like the old days!), but you guys are killing me with all these memories of the BagCam days!!!!!!!!! I miss those days!!
But wow... what a historic day this is!!! God Bless our Troops and God Bless the Iraqi people who have shown such bravery!!
