It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.

There have been a few incidents, I believe both involving suicide bombers. In one case an Iraqi cop was killed along with others, the bomber didn't get in the polling place. In another case the bomber was in line. Rita "my sources are telling me" Cosby is now talking about a third suicide bomber.
The rest of the news has been good, lots of joy and jubilation.
Three suicide bombers took out a few in poll lines, one blew up a car bomb and killed an Iraq officer at a checkpoint. Scattered explosions but all in all not the level of violence-yet-predicted. Big turnout so far. With perspective I'd say it's going very well, and those few that have lost their lives are heros.

retired General Wayne Downing, is live on MSNBC reporting from Baghddad. He says the insurgents would like to atttack the voters who might be coming in to vote by bus. So far he says, he hasn't heard that anything like that has happened. I'm impressed that Downing is there, reporting live, and without body armor. It's a beautiful day there!
MSNBC also has a geek guy, giving blogger viewpoints, first hand info on the voting. His name is Will Femia, msnbc.com contributor.

Yeah, FOX has been saying Sunni's have been coming out in droves to vote. I made the comment earlier knowing that the Sunni's are voting in huge numbers, the Sunni's aren't listening to Zarqawi
