It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.
That's an encouraging post. When I watched MSNBC briefly I got that jerk in the helmet who was going on and on about no one showing up. I'm not saying he shouldn't report it, but man, put it in some kind of context for someone like me who doesn't know anything about how folks there vote. I have no idea if Iraqis like to vote early, midday or late.
If that's the best the terrorists can do, scattered suicide bombings that kill a person here and there, that's not much. Yet the media will do all their work for them and blow this out of proportion thereby scaring voters away from the polls. Great job.
thanks........LOL......I laughed harder at this one then even the ones about Teddy........
The Kurds are wheying in?
That is one cheesy line! You should be dairy ashamed!
You know the Bolsheviks are going to work like the devil to find a photo op of an Iraqi polling station with a sparse line. Perhaps they may even ask many of the potential voters to stand aside for a moment while they take the video.
This is great news PKM. I wish I had cable so I could see more that is happening.
Thanks I'll check out CNN. Rita's just too sensational for me right now.
I milked it for all it was worth, Petronski.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - An explosion has been reported at a polling station in western Baghdad shortly after voting began in Iraq's elections, and there were believed to be casualties, police say.
The cause of the blast was not immediately clear, they said.
Insurgents have declared war on Sunday's election and vowed to launch attacks on polling centres.
Thanks
OH NO Guys you hear about this
Sky news reporting that explosioin just nail polling place in Bagdhad
Developing....
Sky News and Fox News have some kind of affiliation so I am not surprised if they are relatively objective.
Rita Cosby just was talking about the explosion heard at polling place in West Baghdad and was telling audience to put the reports in perspective to what is going on---
Isn't it nice to hear a newsperson use the word perspective?
Such propaganda won't and can't work today, when there is real, tangible evidence of a successful Iraqi election at hand. In fact, such propaganda will backfire on our Corrupt Old Media.
My kitty saw your kitty pictures and wants to say Hi:
Did you hear it? Are you here in the region?
It's not just Ba'athists; it's al-Qaeda and. They've been all over this place for quite some time now.
I suspect the world, Iraq and our military would be a lot better off if our MEDIA decided to not report on the election. I think the all parties, save the Rat traitors in the media and the Democrat party, would be better off if the MSM just reported on the Wacko Jacko trial.
God, this media coverage practically amounts to entrapment. It
invites terrorism. Good heavens, nobody in the media has any patriotic feelings or any human feelings. This Country is in a lot of trouble.
Fox saying car bomb went off at checkpoint. Several blasts heard (shoot and scoot?). What are you hearing and stay safe!
You, and anyone keeping the vigil tonight, might enjoy reading this article about a nurse who was involved in the capture of Saddam. Too bad it did not get more publicity last year.
If you don't want to read it all, just skip down to "In a day's Work" and "No Translation Needed"
Issue Date: December 20, 2004
Fox is reporting that the suicide bomber blew up at the CHECKPOINT, and thus, the checkpoint did it's job. There are now mulitple blasts being heard in Badhdad, supposedly coming from mortars being thrown in.....
