U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, along with Border Patrol agents, are on the ground in Iraq to help secure that country's war-torn borders... If they protect the Iraqi borders like they protect our boarders, the Iraqis are in for trouble.

[WASHINGTON -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, along with Border Patrol agents, are on the ground in Iraq to help secure that country's war-torn borders prior to tomorrow's national elections, CBP officials said yesterday. CBP spokeswoman Kristi M. Clemens said the deployment team will bolster current border security efforts, providing support and additional training for Iraqi border police -- which will continue beyond the elections -- in an effort to keep saboteurs, terrorists and armaments from crossing into or out of the country. "U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers and Border Patrol agents are fighting the war on terror, and we've taken it to the borders of Iraq," said CBP Commissioner Robert C. Bonner. "Our people are on a vital mission to train Iraqis to protect their own borders and build Iraqi institutions that will safeguard the new freedoms and democratic principles being established there...."There is no more important mission," he said.]
Removing border agents from OUR borders and assigning them to Iraq's. That's the ticket to improving our security.

The continued wink and nod to crap like this from Republicans by party loyalists is disgusting.
Those of you who are party cheerleaders are pathetic. We need fighters to reclaim our sovereignty, not Sean Hannity party loyalist types.

You know, you'd think that our "leaders" would see the terrible irony in sending border agents to control the borders of another country.

If it's critical in defeating terrorists, then why aren't they protecting OUR borders? Oh, I forgot. We don't have the money to hire more agents because we gave billions of dollars to tsunami victims, millions to the UN for aids control in Africa, millions to the UN for dues, millions to the Palestinians, Egypt, Pakistan..... and the list goes on and on. Giving ALL of our tax dollars to everyone but the US, is much more important than protecting Americans with. After all, we are a compassionate people..... < / sarcasm >

We've got our military operating as policemen trying to make arrests in the cities and our policemen trying to stop invading forces on a battlefield.
What are we trying to do over there crush a ruthless enemy as quickly as possible or just put them under arrest?
