Mom Wants Pro-Homosexual Poster Out of Ariz. Elementary School By Jim Brown A Christian mom is expressing shock and outrage over the promotion of homosexuality taking place at her children's elementary school in northeastern Arizona.
At issue is a wall poster at Washington Elementary School in Winslow that includes information about the school's female art teacher and features a rainbow flag symbolizing homosexual pride. The poster urges acceptance of all people, regardless of their race, religion, or sexual orientation.
Deborah Ewbank, who has a second-grade son and fourth-grade daughter at the school, recalls her reaction when she first saw the poster. "My mouth fell open," she says. "I was just blown away. In an elementary school, I didn't see a place for this type of word usage."
And the Arizona parent found the images on the wall display as disturbing as its verbal message. "As I looked, I noticed there were only pictures of women together on this poster," she says, "and in one of the pictures, it's highly suggested that these women were going to kiss or had just kissed."
Although Ewbank was appalled by what she saw and read, she points out that her efforts to do something about it have met with discouraging results. "It seems, so far, from the people I've talked to that, as a Christian, I have no right to demand that [the pro-homosexual poster] be removed from the wall of the school," she says.
But the Christian mom insists that something must be done about what she considers an age-inappropriate show of homosexual pride in an elementary school that enrolls students as young as age five. "I don't think children need to see that on a daily basis," she says. "It's hard enough to combat all the other things that they're teaching in schools that go against the Word of God, but that one -- I just can't stand for that."
Dismayed by what she sees happening in her tight-knit community, Ewbank is determined to take action. She says if homosexuality continues to be affirmed in the school, she plans to pull her children out and work with other parents to begin home schooling.

Most schools receive per-pupil reimbursement from the state. That's meaningful to most administrators, particularly if a lot of children leave.
I guess "millstones" means nothing to these people.
....social change by degrees is part of the GAY MAFIA'S plan.
We already pulled my grandchildren out. It wasn't the homosexual agenda that caused it, there were other good reasons. But I will admit it's one of the reasons we will keep him out. He's doing just fine home schooling right here with me everyday. He's 9. He's a baby. He's so unaware and immature. I was, too at 9. Why on earth expose kids like that to homosexuality or the homosexual agenda? Can't a kid be a kid in America anymore?
Homosexual Agenda Ping.
Homo-indoctrination in grade schools continues apace. I swear, the people who say "Well, none of that is happening in MY school" must want to have their heads in the sand.
If homosexual or liberal teachers are in the schools, it'll happen. If homosexual/liberal administrators are in the schools, it'll happen. Etc. Reminds me of what the head of the Education Dept in Massachusetts announced. That because "gay" marriage is now legal, nothing critical of homosexuality is allowed to be spoken in Mass. schools; and homo-affirming material must be taught.
Coming to a school district near you.
Public schools (and unfortunately, a lot of private ones as well) are nothing but slaughterhouses. But the destruction of innocence and spiritaul values are worse than the destruction of the body.
Let me and DirtyHarryY2K know if you want on/off this pinglist.
The importance of homeschooling is not to impress, threaten or influence school administrators. It's to save the lives, hearts and minds of individual children.
Much more important.
Who is Bill Wood of Charlotte, N.C.? It looks like a very interesting article (I've only skimmed it so far), but who is Mr. Wood?
How so?
This is a little off the subject, but have you ever seen any documented evidence for this statement:
"Scientific studies show that Abstinence programs increase risk of contracting HIV and other STDs."
A school administrator may view a parent's threat to homeschool as coming from a parent who is still too insecure in their potential decision to homeschool, thereby taking away the power of the threat. Again, action speaks louder than words.
Also: Please see my post #31. :)
It is well worth the money and time investment to read John Taylor Gatto's book Underground History of American Education.
John Taylor Gatto was a New York City teacher named Teacher of the Year three times in his 30 plus years teaching career. He has often been called a "homeschooling guru." It's a great book.
Meanwhile, here's a link to an essay written by Mr. Gatto:
John Taylor Gatto's Essay "Against School" published in Harper's Magazine
What is this book all about?
Went kids lose their innocents at a young age what kind of adults do they become?
How could there be documented evidence? It's like saying that abstinence causes STDs. The truth is that homosexuality/hedonism/promiscuity promoters are promoting evil, and in order to do so, they have to lie.
Simple.
Yes, it does sound simple to you and me. But how do they rationalize the claim that abstinence results in more cases of HIV and STDs? Any ideas? (I know a Ph.D who made this statement, and he inferred that he had read scientific evidence.)
The government is not supposed to ne in the business of promoting sex.
