The Gulf Cartel is believed to have massed armed men, with visas and passports, along the border to come into the United States and kidnap two FBI agents.

Interesting. While we're so busy keeping Iraq safe for democracy, our southern border now has drug thugs threatening even FBI agents. I pray no drug lords kidnap any of our people, though it would be a very bad thing for them tactically if they did. We might actually have to take the Mexican border seriously in our Homeland Defense.

There's a lot going on in the border towns that we know nothing about.

I work down there. I hear the rumors.

Don't just leave your comment hanging out there: what do you hear?

Or maybe Americans should stop buying and taking drugs. Then these little drug turds wouldn't have any money to buy people.

I agree. If we stop making excuses why people do drugs(the poor because they're poor, the rich because they can afford it)then maybe we can cut off their source of power and income. The middleclass can't afford to do drugs. We are to busy working to make ends meet.

That is quite true. I suppose you could compare this to Prohibition when millions of Americans were determined that their right to drink alcoholic beverages was their business, and to hell with the law that said otherwise.

I'm really reluctant to get into the argument of what would happen if all narcotic drugs were legalized in the U.S., because some of the biggest FR food fights I've ever seen occurred on those WOD threads.

>>They're not nice, they believe in torture of the kind you wouldn't wish on even Osama.<<

I take odds on that statement any day of the week if you addressed it to me too.

I would rather see a few good Marine mercs solve the problem for us.

You should see some of the stuff those dudes do to cops.

The Gulf cartel may be the latest group to pound their chest, but these threats aren't new.

Back in 1985 (I believe) an agent named Enrique (Kiki) Camarena was murdered by Rafael Caro Quintero's gang.

armed men, with visas and passports,

I'm not buying the story because of this. They don't need passports or visa to get across the Mexican border with the US.

If you work in South Texas long enough and gain the trust of some in the Mexican communities, you hear rumors of connections in drugs and terrorism.
I don't want to take it any further than that.
I would never divulge my sources, and I can't back it up without doing that.

Who were we keeping safe for democracy 35 years ago when the term "wetback" was popular?
Eliot Ness wasn't FBI, he was ATF. That really frosted Hoover's nads.
Perhaps it's time for an independent militia as provided for in the Constitution to take positions on the border and start dropping some crossers.
