Who were we keeping safe for democracy 35 years ago when the term "wetback" was popular?
Eliot Ness wasn't FBI, he was ATF. That really frosted Hoover's nads.
Perhaps it's time for an independent militia as provided for in the Constitution to take positions on the border and start dropping some crossers.

Sorry but BATF wasn't around in Ness's day. BATF was formed around 1972, if memory serves me.
You sure you're not thinking of Harry Anslinger? BNDD, Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs?
Ness was a revenuer, Treasury agent. Same same.
