Isn't that the truth. This new story is disturbing and reminds me of the lesbian one. It stuck in my mind at the time. Maybe because my dad is in his 70's and I know he would do anything for his kids and grandkids. These people were trying to do their best for their granddaugher. Like you said, how horrible to know you are being killed by your own grandkid. Found more pictures of the lesbians and grandparents and a little more detail to the story at this site. I was hoping to find out if they had been sentenced yet. At this site it says the most they can get is life in prison. Too bad.

They had some pyschologist in the article I read last summer basically stating you have to feel sorry for the granddaughter--she's just lost her grandparents. That's the kind of idiocy and misplaced sympathy that's producing the monsters we are seeing in these stories.
I seriously doubt that any of these kids were ever exposed to Yukio Mishima.

I agree, they're gruesome excuses for human beings. It was horrible enough that they killed another human being but they dismembered her too! Sick evil garbage.
Another 'drop-out'!
Some pretty normal kids can end up being drop-outs or kicked-outs & in alternative schools. (Consider, for one, some of the draconian 'zero tolerance' rules in the public school system.) Problem is that some seriously abnormal/ dangerously psychotic ones are there as well.

Very true. I ended up in an alternative high school myself. I fell behind on credits when I got sick and then from just kind of giving up on the idea of catching up. I wasn't a drop out, a druggie or violent. I had two parents who actually talked me into doing that INSTEAD of dropping out and getting my GED.
Going to the alternative school enabled me to make up six and a half credits in less than two quarters and allowed me to graduate on time with a 3.8 GPA. They aren't all losers.
The punks that did this, however, are scum, and probably would have been so no matter what school they had attended, imo.
