Citing a Journal Sentinel review that found more than 1,200 votes cast from invalid addresses in Milwaukee, local and federal law enforcement officials launched a joint investigation Wednesday into potential voter fraud in the Nov. 2 election.
Milwaukee County District Attorney E. Michael McCann said he and U.S. Attorney Steven Biskupic agreed to investigate potential problems together. The effort will also include the Milwaukee Police Department and the local office of the FBI.
McCann told the newspaper the group of prosecutors and investigators, including one with computer expertise, will try to "see if there was voter fraud or not. That's the major thrust."
. . .
The group will have access to original documents and materials the newspaper has not been able to see. There is no specified timetable for completing the review.
The joint approach may minimize partisan criticism of its results. McCann is a Democrat. Biskupic was appointed to his post by a Republican.
. . .
Problems pile up
Meanwhile, a separate state audit that is to include a focus on Milwaukee's election problems could be put into place as early as today. Those problems ranged from registration cards that weren't processed before the election to absentee ballots that were not counted until weeks after the election.
And a new Journal Sentinel review of the city's voting records shows the system is so flawed that more than 300 people are listed as voting twice from the same address, even though each apparently was given only one ballot.
That increases the size of a gap, already at more than 8,300, between the number of ballots cast and the number of people who can be identified as voting in the presidential election, which in Wisconsin was determined by about 11,000 votes.

If you're going to ask for something from someone, it would help to ping him over.
The local DA's and state attorney generals in left wing states for the most part are left wingers who would turn their heads on most voter fraud.
Here in California, they might go after any Republican complaining about voter fraud with the support of the local mediots.

You know what they say about absolute power....
Or no controlling legal authority.
Over half of a decade later that phrase still sends chills up my back and angers me.
One of the problems is that you don't need a photo ID to register, if you don't have one, an utility bill, or even a witness (someone who "vouches" for who you are) is acceptable. And if you are already registered, you don't have to do anything but state your name. No signature, no ID, no anything. So if I know for sure that my neighbor will not be voting, all I would have to do is show up at the polls and vote in his name.
Thankfully, at my precinct, we all know each other, but on election day, there was actually a line of people registering to vote. We also, for the first time in my life, had people outside the polling station with Kerry/Edwards signs standing on the side of the road. I live in a very small township (about a 1,000 voters), and I know just about everybody in town, I did not recognize ANY of them. They were from a union that doesn't even function in our area. There was "tons" of fraud in Wisconsin on election day, yet our wonderful Governor refuses to acknowledge it.
What are the chances of the AP, Reuters, or CBS picking up this story?
zilch,, nada,, zip .
That's funny, I'm going to use that.
Steal away (I did).
Thanks
Sounds to me like the Electoral College totals were OFF! If we want to keep Hitlery out of the Oval Office the time to fix this nonsense is now. Its a twofer since we will put a number of RATs in jail at the same time.
This would be a great story to forward to the major news agnecies.
I know they don't like it when their voyeurism is pointed out. I do believe they deleted the entire thread that we linked to.
Oh well; it just goes to prove that DUmmies are deaf, dumb and blind :-)
The wheels of justice grind slowly but when they do...WhoooHooo.
Same here, we have about 1000 voters in our district. No kerry protesters, but we did have about a 45 minute wait, outside, in the drizzle. No one complained. We did let a 102 year old women who used a walker, accompanied by her son, take skips to the front of the line.
"What are the chances of c BS, AP or Reuters picking this up"
Search "snowball" and "hell"
FYI, the City of Milwaukee recorded about 8300 more votes than registered voters...
I call that fraud. You can call it anything you like--but the Federalistas here are headed by a no-nonsense, two-fisted, JAIL 'EM kinda guy.
And he particularly does NOT like Dimowits.
