All right, who really killed JFK?
cnn ^

Posted on 01/26/2005 10:44:38 AM PST by jjtwo

another author claims to know not only who killed Kennedy, but also who ordered the killing. His title says it all: "Blood, Money & Power: How L.B.J. Killed J.F.K." (Hanover House, 480 pages) by Barr McClellan, a former partner in the law firm that represented Lyndon Johnson.

McClellan is making a bid for entry into the circle of conspiracy theorists that advance the so-called "deep politics" model, which blames corruption at the core of virtually all American institutions for misdeeds ranging from the killing in Dallas to Watergate to Iran-Contra. He claims "inside information" that lays bare the JFK plot, spearheaded by the head of his former law firm, long-time Johnson associate Edward Clark.

sure. One of the wonders of the internet is posting irony and watching to see the reaction. You should be aware of that.

I have to wonder...

What possible motive could LBJ have had for killing the president??!?!?

Surely, you left "sarcasm" off your post?

When JFK wasa dead, what became of the then Vice President of the United States?

It really is sad to think that within my father's lifetime, we had a President of the United States get MURDERED and the true killers have not been found.
I'm not a Michael Moore, conspiracy theory type of guy, but Come on, Lee Harvey Oswald could not have done that by himself.
I don't know who did kill him and I certainly don't think it went all the way up to LBJ, but Lee Harvey Oswald DID NOT act alone.

All right, who really killed JFK?

Probably someone with political ambitions who didn't want JFK around so he could be the new JFK when he ran for the presidency. That guy in the white shirt on the left looks familiar. -tom

Check out the book "Case Closed" by Gerald Posner. The title says it all..Oswald acted alone. Unlike most of the tinfoil-hat books, this one actually has real documentation.

In one photo with JFK's head towards the camera, any person can see a metal rod of some type dead center in JFK's head. Why would that metal rod be there?

Without seeing the picture it sounds like you're describing a tool commonly used during autopsies to chart a bullet's trajectory through the body.

I am one of 1300 people out of 280 million who really believes Oswald is the lone assassin.

I hope your question is rhetorical.

Just in case it isn't, I'll give you a little historical perspective.

In the late 50s, LBJ was considered the heir apparent to the WH after Eisenhower's second term ended. I have some bound volumes of Newsweek from the period and LBJ was prominently covered every week in (what was then) the Politics section of the magazine.

When the campaign began in '60 for the nomination, LBJ threw his hat into the ring and began campaigning hard. Nixon was pretty well assumed to not have a chance at winning the WH, the country and the press didn't care for him too much. So, we knew that the next Pres was coming from the Dem side of the house.

Another contender was a young senator from Mass, JFK. JFK captured the heart of the nation and took from LBJ what he, the press and the rest of the Dems assumed was his for the taking.

After LBJ washed out of the primaries, LBJ threw him a bone and offered him the Veep job. Those of us from Texas who know LBJ for the ruthless politician he was, know that he bided his time until he could eliminate JFK and step into his job.

The Dallas visit was the perfect opportunity, and he took it. Where better? He had political allies in Dallas who could help him get what he believed was rightfully his by murdering JFK.

And, afterward, he conveniently sealed all of the records related to the assassination for 70-something years - long enough to ensure that all of the prime players were dead and couldn't be implicated for the assassination.

Those are the motives he had for killing Kennedy. Others here on FR don't much care for this version of the story but, in Texas, anyway, that's the true story that we believe. Because we knew LBJ better than everyone else.

I believe you! Sure LBJ did it! He wanted to be president and that was the ONLY way he was ever going to make it. I hope I live long enough to hear the evidence. I have read Caro's biography of LBJ and just before I finished it was like a light bulb came on in my head. After really seeing LBJ and seeing what he was like, I knew he was fully capable of doing it.

He may have been capable of doing it, but he did not.
