This is from a Muslim website. The website explains Islam and answers questions for Muslims and potential new Muslims about their religion.
Unlike Christianity, Islam is a religion and a political system. Shari'ah law is the Islamic law which replaces and supercedes the US law and the US Constitution.
Faithful Muslims must be faithful to Shari'ah and seek implentation of Shari'ah over people of all faiths.

Ask-Imam.com > Islamic Politics > Question 8471 from United States |
The oath of allegiance is as follows: I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God. They also ask on the citizenship form the following questions: If the law requires it, are you willing to bear arms on behalf of US? If the law requires it, are you willing to perform noncombatant service in the US Armed Forces? If the law requires it, are you willing to perform work of national importance under civilian direction? My question is can we answer yes to these questions? is there anything wrong in doing that. what should the answer be: yes or no? could you please kindly give an urgent answer. jazakallah.

As Muslims, we are duty bound to follow our lives strictly according to Shariah. Whatever Shariah allows us to do, we will abide by that and whatever Shariah has restricted us from, we will refrain from it. Hence, we are not allowed to obey anybody if it is resulting in the disobedience of the Creator, Allah. Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, There is no obedience for the creation by disobeying the Creator. (Mirqaat vol.7 pg.217; Imdadiyyah).
Hence, keeping this in mind if one is forced to sign the above in order to become a citizen or the only way of attaining citizenship is by acknowledging the above, then one may sign it with the intention that Shariah and Deen will always be his yardstick and that he will never sacrifice any of the teachings of Deen.
Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Qur'an should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth --Omar Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of CAIR (Council of American Islamic Relations), San Ramon Valley Herald, July 1998Please withold racist comments. This is an important piece of information provided by the a Muslim website and is pertinent to the immigration issue.
btt
"Please withhold racist comments."
Perhaps someone should be saying this to the Muslims!!!!!
I said it before and I'll say it again.
There is nothing in what the Imam said that I object to.
If the government told me to murder my neighbor, I would say no thank you because my religion prohibits murder.
IMO, the Imam in this example is saying the same thing. He's saying if the government tells you to do something vile, don't do it. He's not saying overthrow the government and institute Jihad.
No need to reintroduce the thread.
What the hell has race got to do with it?
Muslims come in all races; regardless of the race, they are, one and all, misguided moon-god worshippers that follow a false religion as presented by a perverted pedophile with illusions of grandeur.
Black, white, brown, yellow, polka-dot, they are, one and all, doomed to the fires of hell.
I care less what their fate is.
May they one and all namazz their ghusil with the ways of musi'a, and then hajaz their way to allah, or some other equally silly crap.
Or maybe just wipe their arses with their right hand.
Either way, I fart in the direction of Mecca and invite them to come for me.
Note the absence of a sarcasm tag.
I disagree. Radical Islam is a cancer that needs to be destroyed, especially since it's a religious and political system according to the Imam. This isn't buddahism, Christanity, or Judaism. It's a form of barbaric political control.

AKA "suborning perjury".
In the American melting pot, Muslims don't melt.
Actually he's telling his listeners to lie under oath, which is a Federal offense of no small magnitude.
No but they (redacted to remain on FR) really well.

This answers the question about the legality of naturalized US citizens from Iraq voting absentee in the up coming election in Iraq.
Yes, you ust always follow my teachings...
Hence, keeping this in mind if one is forced to sign the above in order to become a citizen or the only way of attaining citizenship is by acknowledging the above, then one may sign it with the intention that Shariah and Deen will always be his yardstick and that he will never sacrifice any of the teachings of Deen.
What exactly do you see in this that tells you the muslim is taking over the government?
There are a whole lot of muslims in the US who could follow the advice given and the government would have no complaints whatsoever.
Now if the Imam had said 'wage jihad on those infidels and kill them all' then I would agree that he must be shot (or otherwise disposed of). But he didn't. He said follow the law, but remember your morals.
NO religion accepts that the law of the land is above God's law. If you asked any theologian if it's OK to listen to the government and violate the 10 commandments, every one of them would say no.
Now if you provide an example of one of the stupider comments of an Imam (and there are plenty of them from places like Saudi), then I'm in your corner.
Anyone who lies in taking this oath is fraudulently naturalized.
Anyone who is fraudulently naturalized is deportable.
That is, if this law were enforced, which it isn't.
In time, some of us may insist that they enforce it.
Where, exactly, did you see that he told them to lie?
He said take the oath, but remember your morals. He didn't say wage jihad on the government and overthrow it so God can rule. When you pull an article that says that, I'm on your side.
What do you propose to do - not allow any muslims into the US at all because the Quoran says they can lie and can't take oaths? There are a lot of muslim extremists, but not all of them are. I'll reserve judgment until I hear what they have to say and/or view their actions. And despite common perceptions, we have a lot of the good type already here.
If lying didn't bother the muslim (meaning he thought it was OK), then why did he ask the Imam the question?
Terrorists can burn in h*ll.
Law abiding muslims are welcome in the US, IMO.
Sharia will not take root in America. It is anathama to a free society.
Sharia is evil.
/john
You're confusing what the Imam said with what CAIR said.
CAIR has known terrorist ties. Does the Imam? That's not a fair comparison.
/john
So do you think ALL muslims should be removed from the US? Or do you think we have some good ones who should stick around?
Do I think a lot of muslims lie? Yes. The Palestinians lied about Jenin, for example.
Does that mean that no muslim should ever be admitted to the US? No.
Should extremism be exterminated? Yes.
Are all muslims extremist? No.
