The Babs and Klavern Show! (Senate Condi Debate Live Thread)
C-Span ^ | today | me

Posted on 01/25/2005 4:40:04 AM PST by section9

Yes folks, I know it's a couple of hours away, but for you loyal C-Span listeners, the debate will be carried live on C-Span 2 today. Live streaming on C-Span 2's server for those of you with high bandwidth carriers.

Box-o-Rox has asked for a full hour in which to call Dr. Rice a lying slut. Meantime, the senior Senator from the state of West Virginia has brought some friends of his down to testify to Rice's unfitness for her office:

Other Dhimmis have asked for time to object to Dr. Rice as well. Meantime, I wonder if McCain or Hagel will actually rise to her defense?

(...sound of crickets...)

Arlen Specter? Anybody?

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Another Boxer lie.......that 25% of those killed in Iraq were Californians. Fact: 11% of those killed in Iraq were Californians.

Sen. Frist, when questioned about the dem's stalling tactics on Dr. Rice's confirmation, responded that it is their right to ask questions. If a Republican Senator stands up to Boxer, Byrd, Kerry et al, I'd flat out faint.

You are so right, the families and troops in Iraq deserve much better.

I'm glad you posted that here, Carolinamom, so more people see yet another of her lies exposed.

At the time she said 25%, I was astounded that a leftist state like California had so many kids signing up (which would be necessary in order for them to have such a percentage of casualties).

She's such a Michael Moore supporter; truth doesn't matter to her.

I just heard Senator Stabanow state that our troops are in jeopardy of bad treatment because of Abu Graib. Then she says that the Senate has the right to ask questions of the nominees. An intelligent caller points out that Boxer didn't ask one question in her opening remarks. Stabenow then says this is an opportunity for the Senators to present their views. She is in the third leadership position. I can see why.

Can Senators be impeached for abuse of power?

Barfie Boxer is the biggest slimiest scumiest bigotted sewer rat of them all. Thank you 6.9 million stupid Californians and illegal aliens that voted this mega idiot creep into another six years of senatorial anarchy and obstructionism.

And since it is National No Name Calling Week, I toned my emotions down.

...think this kind of political theater will get them more votes.

They don't. They are simply terrified of losing the far left to Nader/Green Party. There is a substantial movement within DU/MoveOn to hijack the DNC/Dem Party outright in favor of an even more radical leftist agenda. "Respectable" Dems, like Feinstein, et al, can't openly court this faction but lunatic Dems like Boxer can. It's just insurance against a fracture in the overall movement.
