I was thinking he would as he had appeared with Alberto Gonzales and supported his nomination.
His rationale is the President has the right to nominate and the Senate's role is to advise and consent.
He is outlining concerns about the war and war in general. Speaking of the role of the Senators as representing their constituents. Speaks of visiting the wounded at Walter Reed. He supports the troops and hopes the elections next week bring a new democracy to that nation.
He brings up supporting the other nominees. He rises as a patriot not a partisan.
