Yes folks, I know it's a couple of hours away, but for you loyal C-Span listeners, the debate will be carried live on C-Span 2 today. Live streaming on C-Span 2's server for those of you with high bandwidth carriers.
Box-o-Rox has asked for a full hour in which to call Dr. Rice a lying slut. Meantime, the senior Senator from the state of West Virginia has brought some friends of his down to testify to Rice's unfitness for her office:
Other Dhimmis have asked for time to object to Dr. Rice as well. Meantime, I wonder if McCain or Hagel will actually rise to her defense?
(...sound of crickets...)
Arlen Specter? Anybody?
Be Seeing You,
Chris
BWAHAHA, did you just hear him say, "who have signed the GENOCIDE CONVENTION?"
You have to give the dem party and the MSM credit for their coordinated effort on the Abu Graib thing. If you have no qualm about doing harm to your country, you can achieve quite a bit.
Please don't jump down my throat, but Lamar is on our side; he's just, well, he's just being Lamar.
He believes he's quite the intellectual; both parents were school teachers; education was always his big thing, and he was once President of the University of Tennessee. So he's gotta tell everyone where the road was bumpy before, and where the road oughta lead from here.
In his defense, he quoted from an article by Henry Kissenger and George Schulze, both of whom support Condi and what we are trying to do, in general, in Iraq and the War on Terror. They are the same types, supportive in general, but not above writing the same kind of stuff Lamar was getting into. But believe me, the Dem Libs and Media are chapped big time at these heavyweights piping up with their mostly favorable two-cents at this juncture. And Lamar had their words inserted in the record.
Lamar does not upset me. I just think he's too pretentious with his own intellect. Just seems silly, as someone pointed out. It is people like McCain and Hagel, and the rest of our publicity-hog RINOS that frost me no end.
Whenever any Republican quotes JFK, it makes Teddy just go livid and his face gets all red and you can see the veins in his nose from drinking too much, etc., etc. I love it.
Making a mountain out of a man hill.
Durbin didn't mind that Hussein allowed women to be placed into rape rooms.
Here here. Right on.
Are they voting today?
Folks, we have a classic!
Nor did he mention the Afghanistan and that women can now go to school again.
Tomorrow, if Byrd doesn't block the vote again.
Sadly, I don't think that truer words have ever been spoken.
My posts, 167 and 271, might be of interest to you. These Dems have dragged their party into the gutter of racial politics and are rushing with it into the sewer of European Realpolitik.
The reek of Byrd's fourteen hour filibuster against the Civil Rights Act still lingers in that "great deliberative body," and now the Dems add to the stench with this squalid charade. b.
Thanks! I'll take a look.
Thanks for the inside information!
Seriously, though his heart (and his vote) may be with the president, he is fueling the MSM fire with his lecturing on 'nation building'. You may want to drop him a line and remind him we're at war.
On days like this I miss Alan Simpson....he had a great knack of being able to insult the rats, and the rats were too stupid to get it!
Durbin is all hot air about women's rights and no action.
It's a travesty what they are doing.
Bipartisan, Media Hawking, Anti-American B*astards!
Just got back from picking up granddaughter from school--I'm glad I turned on my VCR cause I missed Boxer--
About, Allen, I was listening and he was trying to answer some of the idiotic statements that had been made by the dems---therefore, it was obviously hastily written to get their crap in his speech. I think we should give him some slack for that reason--
Besides, I have heard him speak very eloquently on the Senate floor before, otherwise I wouldn't have listed him as one of my favorites to run in 2008.
