PROM princess or porn queen?
This prom dress is so skimpy, even the designer's CEO wouldn't let his teenage daughter wear it. But the dangerously revealing gown, prominently advertised in Seventeen Prom, YM Prom and Teen Prom, and on sale in a Midtown shop, is a top seller for the company this season.
"I was shocked when I first saw it, but now it's one of our top 20 dresses nationwide," says Nick Yeh, the CEO of Xcite, the Stafford, Texas, company that designed the dress and some 200 other styles this season.
"I have a 15-year-old daughter and, no, I would not recommend she wear this dress.
"As a businessman," he adds, "I'm not judging what a teenager should wear or not wear. It's up to the parents to decide for their own children."
In fact, some shops in smaller cities require girls to bring in parental permission slips to buy the dress, Yeh told The Post.
At Elite Designs, a formal shop in Midtown that has the barely-there gown on a mannequin, owner Surinder Nagpal says, "We've gotten a few calls about that dress. Originally, I wasn't going to stock [it], but my sales associate told me that girls would want it, so we're stocking it in black and red."
So far, says Helen Rodriguez, Nagpal's sales associate, no one has bought the $495 gown - but it just arrived.

Oh lord! Skittles on Acid!
Not on your life!
Heck, I wish my wife would wear this dress.
Wedding dress?
Uh, yes. Grocery stores sell cigarettes, alcohol, condoms, lubricants, pregnancy kits and hair dyes. I'm sure that CEO's of grocery stores probably wouldn't their daughter using any of those.
There are even Christian CDs and books that cover the topic of sex or homosexuality that are too mature for some children. The pastor that produced the material may not want his 12 year old daughter to view it, but if the parent's don't mind then its he's ok with it. Is he a pig too?
And lastly, all movie theaters show PG, PG-13 and R rated movies. The CEO may not want his children to see some of the these movies, but its up to the each child's parents to decide for themselves. Is he a pig too?
Let's face it - this dress is $400 so the parent's are going to be involved in the decision.
I'll bet the Kerry daughters think it's fine.
the dress is on backwards ha ha
that is the freakiest thing ever
That dress is not showing too much skin,,cute pic.
Let my daughter wear that? To a Prom? No. Not to a Prom. Not anywhere. If for no other reason than many of the immature high school male types would think it a riot to extend a finger and catch one of the "straps" and send it askew to reveal what is not hidden.
you are going to have to prove you wore that dress or something, like it......
I can't proove that....you live in the area where I went to H.S. and may tell my parents. We had our prom dinner at the Old Ebbitt Grill.
make that prove that....doh!
ROTFL!!!!!
A liitle late to the thread. OUCH!
"A liitle late to the thread."
Maybe fashion-ably late.
