Thank you, I knew that the matter of US Senators being subject to recall had been a matter of debate since the 1700's, but wasn't sure how it had been resolved in recent years. Good to know that Senators have continued to ensure themselves job security....

this is as silly as the petition that they are hyping over on DU to impeach bush. they're under some sort of delusion that if they get 5,000,000 signatures, then suddenly the constitution is repealed or something.

Senators are not subject to recall, as the US Constitution makes no provision for same.

Per the US Constitution, voters are prohibited from recalling US Senators....

I think only the Senate can recall one of it's own and the California citizens have no recourse.
We can try to make her life a living hell politically though.

Still, I should think we could balance the negative spewing from DU in regards to his show, regardless of whether a recall is legal or not. It was his comments that spurred the letter writing campaign in the first place.

Don't know why she was re-elected in the first place. GET HER OUT.

If I'm recalled, does it mean I will have to go back to the pound?

no no no! Roberts should tout her for a BOXER/CLINTON!ticket for 08
To: Ramonan
unlike McCain, who said that he'd honor the outcome of such a recall vote (the drive to recall McCain was called off after 9/11), Boxer would fight it tooth and nail ... and probably win that battle. Boxer's in for the long haul, just don't let anyone forget.

For a woman her age she can hardly be described as "ugly." And with as many bad policies as she has promoted I don't think there's any need to resort to ad hominems.

They may not be able to recall her. But she can be censured by the senate. So email your senator to voice your indignation about the classless actions of the IMP! Actually, I think she is prejudiced against black woman getting ahead in this country!
To: Seadog Bytes
Is that really her picture? in pics I've seen of Boxer recently, she's completely grey.
Perhaps she's embraced her true self and has given up on the dye jobs?

Per U.S. Constitution, U.S. Senators cannot be recalled no matter which state they are from. Reference? I don't ever recall (no pun intended) reading such a provision...
