Ben is an amazing writer, father and husband, it is a privilege to call him a friend.
His patriotism and love for this country should be commended. There are many who could take a few pointers from Ben. You can fill in the names, but, I am sure I would agree with you.

I am glad a man with his sentiments gets national attention. We need more like him!

Ben Stein's diary is one of the main reasons we haven't canceled our subscription to that magazine (not that it's a bad magazine, just Stein is usually the only thing I have time or make time to read).

Stein is a self-centered Boomer bore. He clearly has talent as an observer and writer, but it's wasted on this kind of material. What we need from him is serious social criticism leavened with humor. We rarely get it.

Ben is an amazing writer, father and husband, it is a privilege to call him a friend. Ben has given me more than a few chuckles, impressed me with more than a few quotes, and made me think more openly with his 'one liners' than many others. I'm jealous of you; because you know a man that I'd love to meet. Good for you!!

At the time I grew up, all I knew about Ben Stein was "Bueller, Bueller?" and Jimmy Kimmel. Only recently have I realized what an intelligent and prolific
career he's had.

Ben used to write about his visits to Mortons'.
He quit this awhile back and his final column
was a classic. He practices what he preaches.
Thanks for posting.

I remember him writing about his son, years ago in the old pre-Gilder TAS. He must be an awesome father.
To: hinckley buzzard
Yes, I remember when his son was a toddler, and he was separated from his wife. I assume they patched it up?
