CHICAGO -- In the past four years churchgoing Americans have grown increasingly intolerant of politicians making compromises on such issues as abortion and gay rights, according to a survey released yesterday.
At the same time, those polled said they were growing bolder about pushing their beliefs on others, even risking offending people.

Yes, Newdow and Michael Moore and the Follywood libs and Barbara Boxer and Ted "The Swimmer" Kennedy etc etc are certainly not rigid and don't push their beliefs on others, do they? It is amazing that these pathetic lib papers don't see the ridiculous position they've put themselves in.
the boston pot calling the kettle black.
I coulda sworn I saw the second headline someplace...Oh, no, that was "Frigid," not "Rigid." Nevermind...
Poll: Church Goers STANDING FIRM, Not allowing others to pull them down the slippery slope.
Well, considering the way religious people have been treated over the last 30 years, I'm surprised it took this long for them to start pushing back, even in such a mild way.

I was glad to get a humorous reply. Afraid that everybody was taking the whole thing too seriously and I might have made people mad. I'm a serious, practicing Catholic which means, to me, that I know that I'm not a very good person so I can't get too self-righteous. I believe the best response to silly articles like the one at the top of this thread is to make jokes about it. Kinda like Reagan and GW Bush have succeeded in taking the media's nonsensical criticisms of them amd making better jokes out of them and telling them FIRST.
Yep, and now they are trying to figure out what to say to us that they don't really believe, to get us to vote for them in the election.
Fat chance! We are too rigid. ;-)
So, I'm guessing you are going to make some rigid comment over on the thread about government paying for sex changes for prisoners? Would it be intolerant of me to say "hell no, I don't want to pay for mutilation surgeries that prisoners want to elect?"
Yeah, sure. Like they REALLY asked "Do you push your beliefs on others?"
**rolling eyes**
The Canadians were outstanding in WWII. Apparently, their misuse by the Brits killed off all the brave ones.
Can you say "projecting?" I knew you could!
Oh, like liberals aren't intolerant of conservative views?
This is the pot calling the kettle black.
Yesterday we weren't tolerant, today we are rigid. Glad to see these news organizations are independent of each other!
It is amusing. Forget the oceans, forget space, the Final frontier for Liberals is discovering these oddities known as "Christians". LOL

Unlike mosques attendees who love our liberal politicians.
I agree with you, also I believe at this time many more people are seeking and getting into God's Word. Not only knowing God's Word but following it.
We also are having great sex.
