I live and work in the Washington, DC area, so I clicked on the link, within your post, for more information about the weather in the Washington, DC area.

To my surprize and horror, I was taken to a page tyhat said "City Not Found"!

Do you know something I ought to know?

Do you know something I ought to know?

The Secret Service hid it for the inauguration. They'll put it back some time next week.

If new data is right, that map is conservative.

Southern New England is usually characterized by Connecticut, Rhode Island, and SE Mass.

OK, so then the "SOUTHEAST THIRD OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND" would be the Southeast third of "Connecticut, Rhode Island, and SE Mass.", which basically means Newport, R.I., and Nantucket.

"The Secret Service hid it for the inauguration. They'll put it back some time next week."

Damn!

Here I thought my "twilight zone" feeling today was due to too much celebrating last night.

Don't forget the toilet paper! You can use the spare rolls for cash, in a pinch.

Better send W&Co an email; I think they'll be most interested.

Just to give some contrast to conditions in the North, right now its 77 degrees and partly cloudy on the Gulf Coast. I think I'm gonna have a nice ice cold beer on the back porch after work.

"Southeast third of southern New England" ?? No sure where that is (from the words, anyway).

Well, you can't get there from here

LOL.

Seems the weather forecasters are as good in Wisconsin as they are her in Baltimore.

I'll bet y'all drive better in the snow than we do. Is there any milk, bread or toilet paper left in your grocery stores?

Here's a website detailing three such storms

Our Two Analog Winters Had Three Blockbuster Storms! The Odds Look Good Don't You Think?

This one looks more like the '69 storm - forming off the Virginias and hitting New York and points northeast harder than Pennsylvania. The '58 storm is more like the ones that wallop PA - come up from further south.

It's interesting that this analysis was written in late 2002 - and a few weeks later a massive storm dumped two feet of snow in Eastern PA.
