I heard Peggy this afternoon, and she did, indeed, like the speech. I wonder if the 'grating' remark was her talking about how some others, like the Euros, might find the speech.

Sorry, but it appeared to me that Peggy went out of her way tonight to diss the president's speech. It was like she couldn't help blurting out her true feelings despite the fact she suspected it would land her in some controversy.

Methinks she's a little bitter that she's on the outside looking in now. Some people can handle this, others can't. But that's the nature of hardball politics. Four years ago.....a ball gown at the Inaugural Ball.
