I was yelling the same thing! Where is it written that we are supposed to give to the government to take care of the poor? Jesus said to do it yourself. How does she know if the people who didn't have a tree even celebrated Christmas? If I knew one of my neighbors wanted a tree and couldn't afford it I'd find the money to buy them one. Typical whiner - I don't want to do it but somebody else should.
FNC has been a disappointment since yesterday. If Brit was handling this segment he'd make sure the guest was quiet for a few moments.

And I heard Sally Quinn make a snide comment earlier in the day. Something to the effect that presidents in the past have guided the social scene in Washington but it's just dead under Bush. You could tell she resents it.
As a taxpayer, I'm glad he's WORKING vs. socializing.

Off Topic, but major. Weather for tonight is no big deal. However, there is a storm forming for Saturday and we are in for 8 - 24 inches of snow. Philadelphia is gonna get clobbered. It should be interisting how they clean the field for the game Sunday. On the other end of our state, Pittsburgh is going to get little to none for their game.
Back On Topic: The Wife just asked me how much I thought they paid for those gowns? I told her, if you have to ask the price, you don't get one.

The blond woman on CNN earlier (I've forgotten her name - used to be on Fox) was talking about how popular the First Lady is...the most popular in history I think she said.
Then she sort of complained it's because she's an empty vessel and people can project their marital dreams onto Laura.
