How about starting a thread to see how the FReepers are doing now that they are back from the dinner? Hopefully they can check in.

Here's one of the happy couple.

And one of the two "babes".

I LOVE Laura's dress. It looks almost casual with the shirtdress cut and the 3/4 length sleeves, but that iridescent fabric along with the 'bustle' in the back give it a formal feel.

I really like the copper tone and red dress of Laura's!

Those girls need to be in basic black, short, tight cocktail dresses. Laura needs something a little more interesting also.

Thank goodness George W. Bush is president, but those dresses are a fashion disaster. Wizard of Oz sales rack at the dress barn?

Judging from the fashion critics on this thread, maybe they should have gone with the latest thing.

Thanks for posting. I don't think any of the activities tonight were televised, with the exception of Brian Wilson (Fox) showing up on Greta's program for a few minutes from somewhere (probably the Black Tie and Boots Ball). Maybe CSPAN or the cable networks will do better tomorrow.

Some very good friends of mine at my condo were part of the Texas volunteers that went to Ohio at their own expense and worked their butts off to help W carry the state.

They got invited to the inaugural and this Texas affair because of their hard work in Ohio.

God Bless you Jim and Mary Lou. Kick up your heels and have a grand time. You deserve it.

I admire Laura's constant good posture.

I love her dress.

Thanks. Just wish I could have seen a clear shot of that necklace that Laura is wearing. I don't think I've ever seen it before and it looks spectacular.

The ladies - all of them - are beautiful, even the young'uns.
