Free Republic's Canadian chapter has been hacked by a group of commie weenies calling themselves the Internet Liberation Front. Isn't that a sweet, inspiring name? So original too, I'll bet no one in the sixties were clever enough to call themselves a liberation front.
They have replaced our site URL with a bunch of commie nonsense that can be viewed here. If anyone has the ability to give them a taste of their own medicine, payback will be a female dog. Of course we would never condone such an action, we would prefer to see them all shot.
These weenies have issued a press release bragging about the list of property they have damaged, Free Dominion is included in this list. We will be reporting them to the RCMP and any other authoritities who may be willing to deal with these cowardly criminals.
That all depends on what laws are broken. I doubt homeland security has much interest in a Canadian website. If they did it would only be because the perps were here.

I just got an email as well. I wish I knew how to hack to get these commie bastards back.
We've priced a server upgrade and full security audit, but we've been putting it off because we couldn't afford to do it yet. I have personally contacted the people who are hosting this nutball group and informed them that if they do not get rid of them immediately they will be considered complicit in the hacking operation. The webhosts are FreeWebs.com.

Well, first of all, their website is hosted at Freeweb.com, which specifically prohibits Hacking activities to be promoted on their website.
A few emails to the Admins at Freeweb.com pointing out that these folks are in violation of their ToS might get their website yanked.

The first mistake is a free host. There protections for the server are ok, but his username/password was hacked (If it really was). It wasnt a serverwide hack so its either someone that knows them and is playing a joke, they use a very common password and someone figured it out, or its someone just trying to get attention.
Is this the same e-mail address that is listed on your FR profile page? If so, I bet that's where they got it, and also bet you aren't the only FReeper that has been targeted thusly.

I just reported the hacker problem to dcemail.com, who is the ISP of one of the contact e-dresses listed for the InternetLiberationFront at the bottom of that website.
