She is dizzy, almost wobbly. Her head aches, her coughing won't stop, and because she doesn't have enough money she has not filled her four prescriptions nor seen a doctor recently.

But that doesn't stop her.

Soon it will be midnight, and Ipifania Dominguez will be back at work cleaning up blood, bone and fat in the world's largest pork slaughterhouse. She'll be back in the "head room," as she calls it, where meat is cut from pigs' heads.

I guess I just have no love lost for unions. Fortunately, our free market is even stronger than their purchased special interests. I guess that's why I root for Walmart and China.

OK. How would you protect yourself for TB?

She coughs in the ER. She coughs on the supermarket checkout line. She coughs on your meat.

TB is spreading badly here in the United States and an upscale lifestyle does not protect you from infected janitors, cleaning ladies, supermarket clerks and the like.

This country continues to be built on the back of hard working, dedicated immigrants.

instead we stay home, locked in our offices, critizing these people on our computers. Meanwhile, they're out there working their butts off

it would be interesting to do away with welfare for ALL and watch the hate filled anti-immigrants have to find a new straw man to beat.

because most people that live in America really don't share the obession and real vile feelings with some here regarding these folks.

I'm still waiting for them to do a profile of Suzy Suburbanite, the electrician's wife who works part time in this same pig factory to save money for her kids college fund.

Judging from your posts, you think illegals work harder than Americans, built America, Americans are lazy, Freepers are bigots. You have alot of hatred towards Americans and Freepers who are anti-illegal.

When was the last time you saw an African American sneaking across the border?

Just curious.

I know you do. Well, I root for America and the American worker.

She is breaking the law and she is being portrayed as some lovable character that deserves our sympathy.

I actually have nothing against this woman. She is working a terrible job in beastly conditions for peanuts. She may have violated our immigration laws, but considering how little respect our own government has for those laws, who can blame here?

I blame the greedy employers and their accomplices in government for the current illegal immigrant crisis.

American workers would have bargaining power

And have the power to drive a company into the ground.

Case in point, the sick out at US Air, that pissed a lot of people off during the holiday season.

OK, let's do this your way. What do you feel is a fair hourly wage for working in a McDonald's?

No, that's your way. My way is illegals do not belong at McDonald's or anywhere else in this country. Even if it's a labor job.

What does that have to do with anything? You claimed that most immigrants were comitting crimes based on the fact that you read stories about individuals comitting crimes. I know many illegal immigrants. None of them is a criminal. Most are too busy trying to support their families to even have the energy to participate in a gang rape.

You are the one arguing that illegals are holding wages down. I was just wondering how high the wages at McDonald's would go if we got rid of all the illegals. If you don't like the McDonald's example, substitute maid or gardener. BTW, I pay my maid $100 for 4 hours of work every other week, and I can not find a US citizen willing to accept that deal.

In GWB's own works, bring it on. He'll crush you like a bug.

W's amnesty plan, if passed, will split the GOP disastrously. I have given a lot of money to W and the GOP in general, but if this plan passes (which it won't), the GOP can take me off it's donor list.

He and the GOP will more than make up for any donor losses with the pick up of hispanic votes. He's already shown the trend is in our favor with his results in the past election. He just needs to deliver.

I also said that they are criminals merely by virtue of being here. Hence illegal alien. Therefore every one that you know is a criminal regardless of whether you are willing to admit it or not.

If they are willing to commit a crime to come here and a large number of them continue to commit crimes once here then the common face of them is that they are criminals.

It's really not that hard of a concept to grasp.

Walmart is America. Unions are socialism at it's best.

"I pay my maid $100 for 4 hours of work every other week, and I can not find a US citizen willing to accept that deal."

That's because you haven't bothered to try to find a US citizen to do the work.

If you put an ad in the paper saying you'd pay someone $25 an hour to clean your place for four hours every other week you'd have plenty of US citizens calling you.

Legal hispanics dislike the idea of an amnesty for illegals as much as any other legal residents or citizens of the US.

In any event, this amnesty will not solve the illegal problem. If you make all of the current illegals legal, that just opens up room for even MORE illegals who can be paid lower wages and treated like dirt by their employers.

The employers who hire illegals have no desire to see those illegals obtain some sort of legal status.

"We tried to bring in American people," says Johnson, who stands 5-foot-1 in heels, and grew up on a farm nearby, "but the American people, they are just lazy. . . . If they [the Latinos] would get out of here, we would have to close because we couldn't find enough people.

"The Latinos, they'll stand there in pain all day without saying anything," she says. "I told them they could say something. But I think they fear that if they speak out they would get sent back. One day some of the ladies were crying and saying they want to stay, life is bad back in their countries."

Behold the face of 21st century slave-labor plantations, and the deluded rationalizations of their masters.

I noticed that nowhere in the article is it mentioned how much these people are being paid for their hard labor, but I suspect that it is below minimum wage, and it's illegal to pay American citizens or legal immigrants below minimum wage.
