She is dizzy, almost wobbly. Her head aches, her coughing won't stop, and because she doesn't have enough money she has not filled her four prescriptions nor seen a doctor recently.

But that doesn't stop her.

Soon it will be midnight, and Ipifania Dominguez will be back at work cleaning up blood, bone and fat in the world's largest pork slaughterhouse. She'll be back in the "head room," as she calls it, where meat is cut from pigs' heads.

That's even sadder than that first response. Talk about weak.

So instead we stay home, locked in our offices, critizing these people on our computers. Meanwhile, they're out there working their butts off, not only supporting themselves here, but sending a lot of cash back to Mexico. Ask me which one of you I would want on my team, on my side doing battle with the other side? It wouldn't be you.<

You sound like one heck of a Union Organizer...It is employers like you that caused the creation of organized labor (Unions)...

Unlikey anyone here would want to be on your 'team'...It's even more unlikely you would have a team...You're not looking for a team...You're looking for cheap labor to support your lifestyle...

Let's start teliin' it like it is...

The president will not win this battle. Not a chance in hell. But keep dreaming if it makes you happy.

In GWB's own works, bring it on. He'll crush you like a bug.

Because the labor union agenda is contrary to the free market. Why not simply raise the minimum wage to $20 an hour so we all live well? See the ignorance in this theory?

I know the thought of blue collar Americans earning above Third World levels is anathema to you, but what is wrong about labor providers working together to create a labor shortage that will drive up wages but in your view right about labor consumers breaking the law to create a labor glut that will drive down wages ? Aren't both using political power to control the market ?

I will never be on board with the amnesty. I will fight it by any and all legal means.

SO there's more to your objection than their legal status, because once they're here legally you have nothing to hang your hat on.

LOL!!! He doesn't have a prayer. As has been noted by his own supporters he doesn't have the political clout to revamp SS and push his illegal loving agenda. His plan is DOA.

He first has to get the Senate and House to help him lift his foot. From the looks of things, it ain't a happnin'.

I notice that CBGone is not addressing the first paragraph in the article.

When someone has TB, they take these drugs daily. Isoniazid, Rifampicin, Pyrazonamide and Ethambutal. Notice they take 4 drugs daily.

I doubt CBGone will report this article to the state health department. This article should be followed up with an investigation of the health department of that state and maybe a recall of pork from that meat processing plant until it is determined what kind of disease this woman has.

They are not and I think they will never be legal. To many people are against this, just like last year. As I was saying I will use any means I have to make sure there is no guest worker program. This is my right in this country.

I agree with almost your entire response. I still respect a woman who will do everything she can for her family. Doesn't stop me from sending her home, though.

My only point of real difference is that I would like that (probably TB) cough treated properly though, until we can send her back.

Simple self interest: TB is highly contagious and she's coughing over my meat, into the face of grocery clerks etc.

OK, let's do this your way. What do you feel is a fair hourly wage for working in a McDonald's?

Would we have Americans during the Great Depression.."not wanting" to do certain jobs?

It's not my fault that the logic you use is so easily debunked.

Not at all. I've yet to hear one of these hard working laborors complaining about the wages or working conditions, despite the fact that both suck. Now ask some fat union electrician making $40 an hour and he'll recite you the union talking points about what a terrible work enviroment in which he's forced to work.

I'm sorry, I guess it's just not in my nature to first react by running to the government.

Good idea.

I wonder why so few seem to pick up on the health and social services costs of illegal aliens.

That certainly wasn't the case in this past election. Remember, liberals rely on polls. Conservatives rely on elections.

I would contend that this past election did not hinge on the immigration issue. It was much more dependent on the WOT issue which, of course, GWB won hands down.

And don't you just love it when the "lower orders" have to settle for whatever they can get and do as they are told because they are in no position to bargain. That is why you love illegal immigration so much. American workers would have bargaining power. Illegals don't so you can use them to destroy the bargaining power of American workers.

Such compassion !
