I wish Condi would've answered his question with a question:

"Perhaps Senator, you could specify just which outside entity's "offer to help" you found so promising? You mentioned the U.N.....just which offer by the U.N. did you feel would have alleviated the current problems in Iraq?"

He could NOT have answered that question.

Dr. Rice knows more about foreign affairs, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc., in her 4 years in Washington than John Kerry knows after 20 years in the Senate and 4 months in Vietnam.

Condi: So far I haven't seen the Iraqis make a compromise as bad as the one in 1789 (?) that made my ancestors 3/5ths of a man.

Good one.

Kerry is such an idiot! The Euros and other world leaders probably think he is "the Leader of the Opposition" and still relevant. They don't realize that he's not respected in the Senate, he's lazy, he gets nothng done, and the 'Rats tend to throw out losing Presidential Candidates onto the garbage pile. I offer Fritz, Tank-Boy & algore as evidence. Kerry has less juice than a McDonald's breakfast.

Kerry says people told him the elction might destabilize the area of Kirkuk due to the Kurds.

The people he talked to had to have been the Syrians....he meet with them.

The current policy is growing the insurgency, not diminishing it.

and Condi replies that Saddam exploited Iraq's deep divisions. The election offers the Iraqi people an opportunity to represent their aspirations.

lol, 'Why did Kerry go back to work today after being absent for 20 years?..'

Probably because Ter-ray-zuh had had enough of him after last year!

Kerry's time is wrapping up.

Current policiy is growing the insurgency, not shrinking it.

What do you intend to do to fix this.

Said as statement.

Rice: Iraqis understand the opporunity the elections give them to address some of the divisions that indeed exist. Rice quite heartened to see some factions do not succumb to attacks by giving up but determined to become one Iraq.

Explaining how compromises work. We need to be patient, small steps. Often says the Iraqis or Afghans can't make as bad a compromise as early America did in 1789 when they declared her ancestors 3/4 of a man.

Kerry just doesn't stop. Now he agrees with Dr. Rice's reply, but it isn't happening on Kerry's timeline.
