Why would he be ordered to take a Physical that was no where near expiring and outside the allowable window to take? Medical wouldn't even take an appointment for a physical scheduled so early!

But CBS said they don't have an agenda against the White House. Don't you remember?
They must be real.

soviet-style state tv

It's Soviet style Marxist TV.

Specialist interest groups have adopted Marxism as their political ideology and they have taken over networks.

I agree that I never took a physical outside of my birth month.

My experiences don't sum up all there is to know about base hospital practices.

Surely, I believe this was a hoaxed letter, but if all I had to rely on was the author's conclusions, they'd be pretty weak.

One possibility is that he was "ordered" to report to an active duty base?

If President Bush's birthday is in July then he would not be receiving an order to get his physical in May. Physicals are scheduled according to birth month and an initial scheduling in May would be the norm, not a commander's letter ordering a physical that didn't expire for almost three months. A commander's letter like the forged one would never have been issued until after July when Mr. Bush would have been grounded for an overdue physical. Had Mr. Bush been ordered to report to an active duty base it would not have had a deadline for May 14, 1972 as that was a Sunday, a day when active duty bases would have had the day off. Only Guard and Reserve bases would schedule physicals on drill weekends. This just again shows not only how sloppy the forger was but how sloppy the whitewash "investigation" was.

When my 12 year old nephew had it figured out the first day that the docs were bogus, it should have been obvious to anyone who wanted to know the facts! LMAO

If the memo was dated the 4th of May and said to report 'no later then 5/14' doesn't that give GWB 10 days to get the physical?

I certainly believe the docs are a fraud but in this case I must be missing something. What is it I'm missing?

You're missing the fact that there is a permitted window around the Aviator's birth month to take the physical. These days it's thirty days before your birthday.

With a Birthday of July 6th, medical would not be permitted to administer an annual physical before the regulated window. I believe May 14th would be too early with a birthday of July 6th.

The rules on the "Window" have changed several times over the years so I may be incorrect about 1972.

It is my understanding, from serving in the military, that a base commander would never 'order' a physical, that's at the unit level. A base commander would never even know that a physical is due.

...and the fact that a TANG unit would be very unlikely to have a state of the art typewriter.

Let's clarify something. The Selectric Compositor, which conceivably could have produced the documents (if the user had presciently known how typescript would be kerned by a specific software programmer some ten or twelve years hence), was NOT A TYPEWRITER.

It was, instead, a typesetting machine -- extremely expensive and highly complex, to be found only in the backrooms of the typehouses (businesses which expressly served the advertising industry and publishers).

In point of fact, it should not even be a consideration in the CBS imbroglio -- because no TANG personnel, officers or secretaries, would've even known the damn thing existed (unless their day job was in an advertising agency, publisher or typehouse), much less how to operate it.

This machine is as relevant to the CBS story as a nuclear reactor would be to the Hottentots.
