WASHINGTON, Jan. 17 - The Bush administration imposed penalties this month against some of China's largest companies for aiding Iran's efforts to improve its ballistic missiles. The move is part of an effort by the White House and American intelligence agencies to identify and slow important elements of Iran's weapons programs.

You do it like the Israelies did to Iraq the 1970's(?). You blow up a strategic piece of their nuclear reactor progran before it left, in his case, France. And then, 3 years or so later, when the repaired reactor core was installed.....you bomb it so that it will never become operational.
Hopefully, similar thinking is going on in Washington. If not, I am confident that it is going on in Tel Aviv. We are geting down to short strokes on this one!!
One would think from the tone of the article that we no longer have a House of Representatives. Or a Senate. Exactly who in the media is holding Congress's feet to the fire?
Oh, sorry. We should allow our representatives to throw it over the fence and say "war powers act". Then the executive is damned if they do (Iraq) and damned if they do not (Saudi Arabia). I disagree. It should be a public vote on the floor of the House and Senate.
Let's also start punishing AMERICANS (in business, government and the private sector) who have helped the Chinese!
That would be just about everyone in the US who does business with the prison nation of Red China,Clinton
Bush, GM, GE, Walmart, I like your idea but its a little
late in the game now.
Great idea! What say we start with punitive action against every parent that gets a McDonalds happy meal. Oh yeah, then we will have a flogging on the square for the evil plumber that purchased Chinese pipe at Wal Mart.
But wait, there is more! The mechanic that went to AutoZone and bought that $30.00 starter (from China) can be put in the stocks! Pilloried! Fun for the entire family.
Nothin personal, but Bugs might say "Maroon"

Nothing personal, but you are horrible at sarcasm. That lady on the commercial might say, "Summer's Eve."
Touche. No D involved. I do appreciate your candor and passion. I work in technology, private sector. The media is, well Who Do You Believe, Me or Your Lying Eyes. If you know of specific business or SBU's that are compromising technology, I posit that it is your duty to come forth.
Don't forget the Clinton administration and the Army's Black Berets, yep you guessed it made in china.
I am not an apologist for that administration. Who allowed the contract? Lemme think. Supreme court. No. The bent ones cabinet? No. Oh yes, our esteemed congress! How did your Representative and Senator vote? Any clues will help.
I am not slamming you as a good person, which I know you are. Just trying to steer the discussion where it belongs. Not with the Executive.
For that matter, most of the American flags you are flying are made over here too!
My flag is made in the U.S.A.
I did. In 2001, I mentioned what I knew to a few people, including a VERY well-known FBI agent Freepers should know. Nobody cared. Nothing happened. Until this past summer, when the company I had suspicions about made the local news for immigration violations and illegal technology transfers.
The US should be holding the Chinese GOVERNMENT responsible. They have given enough nukes to islamic states.
