Conservatives have an instinct to preservation and stability. The liberals have a desire for "change," and this was expressed a lot during the Clinton Administration. 9-11 was consciousness raising, and conservatives understood that a terrible "change" had come about. The re-election of President Bush and the further strengthening of the Senate and the House are manifestations of the conservative instinct for preservation and stability.
I worry that President Bush and his Administration do not quite understand the deep-set misgivings conservatives have about uncontrollable immigration. It is not borne of racism, it is from the knowledge that this nation can become "two nations," divided, and odds with each other about what the goals of Democracy should be. Uncontrolled immigration is a fearful "change," and conservatives need strong reassurance that the President understands that fear, and that he will seek solutions, not blanket amnesty.

They believe the United States is worth saving from The Great Society. Always remember that "liberals" avoid using the word "government" - and that they substitute the word "society" when they mean nothing else but government. When liberals promised "The Great Society" they actually meant great government. And a "great" government is a tyranny.

"They remind all that power should be kept under local control, and that privatizing is an inexorably good quality for the country."That means City, County, or even special district control in CA! Not some damned regional government of un-elected officious bureaucrats majorities as perscribed by the likes of F.D.R., J.F.K., L.B.J., Earl Warren and Arnold Schwarzenegger!!!
I'm referring the the "Multi-Level Marketing" style of multi-level regional GovernMental bodies like the abominable "Sierra-Nevada Conservancy" established by GANG-GREEN leftists and CA's novice, numb-nuts Governator!!!

'As the ping pings'....
I never know what to expect when I see the ping to your latest essay...before I open the thread, I don't know whether it will be a parody that is CALLED a parody, a parody that sucks people into shouting at you, or an even-toned, considered and referenced essay of reasonableness.
Another good job.
