(Hazlet, N.J.-WABC, January 16, 2005) — A gruesome discovery in New Jersey, as a severed head and body are found near a movie theater in Monmouth County.

Eyewitness News reporter Ken Rosato is live at the scene in Hazlet, with more on this murder mystery.

The police found a head in the woods in the wooded area behind a movie theater, on a busy movie night when hundreds of cars packed the parking lot.

CAIR will probably lodge a complaint against the "head".

Seems severed heads remind the world of islam and that promotes a negative stereotype of muslims.

The "head" has no right laying around where it is easily found, The muslims have it rough enough without having to explain severed heads.

Unless things have changed a whole lot, that has to be the strangest thing that ever happened...or ever will...in Hazlet NJ. Used to be a real sleepy town. With a nice old theater. (Bet that's long gone!)

I hope this is not what it seems...the start of these barbaric practices in America.

This wouldn't be the first time anyone was murdered and decapitated anywhere in the US. Granted, it doesn't happen often, but it does happen, and it's not necessarily the work of a militant Muslim whacko. Let's wait and see what shakes out.

Fairfax County police said several men attacked a 24-year-old man as he left the Multiplex Cinemas, in Merrifield, Va. A police spokesman told News4 the victim was chased down Strawberry Lane off Gallows Road and attacked with a machete. His female companion was not injured.

It's the second machete attack in Fairfax County in the past nine months.
