(Hazlet, N.J.-WABC, January 16, 2005) — A gruesome discovery in New Jersey, as a severed head and body are found near a movie theater in Monmouth County.

Eyewitness News reporter Ken Rosato is live at the scene in Hazlet, with more on this murder mystery.

The police found a head in the woods in the wooded area behind a movie theater, on a busy movie night when hundreds of cars packed the parking lot.

Aw, go ahead and say it, how often do muggers decapitate their victims? I'd say it's kinda rare. I think this is ROP in action once again.

In my hometown there was a very nice lady who had two boys, both with mental problems. One day this nice lady was murdered by her eldest son. The murder was discrovered because he had decapitated her, and left her head on the front step.

Another time, a friend who worked for UPS was there when a human head rolled out of a package that was being transferred from one plane to another. It was apparently part of somebody's clever way of getting rid of the body.

Which is to say: there are plenty of sick f***s around who will do this, and have historically done this. There's no need to invent a bunch of salamikaze beheading gangs to explain it.

Jersey City is closer to Manhattan. The suicide incident is about an hour south of Jersey City.

As they were walking along, one of the boys that came upon the gruesome scene asked the other " Hey, what's that up the road, a head?",

Okay, maybe I'm not connecting the events very well, or maybe I just don't get how things are done in New Jesey, but I've seen something about woods and him tying himself to a tree, then finding the head near a theater, which I don't equate as being in the woods, typically (down south we put our theaters in town on the street), and finding his body in a car parked in the theater parking lot. What I want to know is, if he decapitated hisself in the woods, how the h*ll did he drive the car to town and park it in the theater parking lot, and how did the head get there to be found near the theater?
