He also claimed to have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn.

It's OK, Kennedy doesn't need a rebuttal.

Who was the boob on with Schieffer who helped to interview Kennedy? Was it Balz of the Washington Post?
He asked one question that couldn't have been more of a Dem talking point than if he were Terry McAuliffe. He said "Alberto Gonzales wrote the memos that led to the Abu Ghraib abuse. Do you intend to vote to confirm him as AG?"
If I'm not mistaken, the question wasn't along the lines "some people feel the memos might have led to Abu Ghraib." No, he stated it as an absolute, established fact.
I couldn't help but feel pure rage at the unfairness and bias.

See-BS is growing even more nakedly defiant of the Bush Administration all the time. Are they looking to become the US affiliate of Al-Jazeera? Doesn't that mean the employees at See-BS wil all have to take Berlitz courses in Arabic?

CBS News turned over its entire "Face the Nation" broadcast on Sunday to inveterate Bush-basher Ted Kennedy, after refusing a White House request that they also include a Republican to rebut Kennedy's bloviations. "The White House was happy to put Dan Bartlett or somebody else on that program and CBS said, 'Thank you, No,'" reported Brit Hume on "Fox News Sunday." It appears CBS is actually going FURTHER to the left.
Prediction: At this rate, it will be actively championing outright communism in 3 months.

I'm laughing so hard I'm afraid I'll hurt myself. CBS claiming to be unbiased? And I'm Princess Diana.
It would have been nice if CBS had admitted that Thornburg was their attorney long before the investigation into Rathergate began. So much for an "independent" investigation.

The RATS are reduced to Ted Kennedy talking points. The left is in deep trouble.

He might have meant it. But after the meeting he caught hell from the rest of the press flack community who lambasted him for thinking that being fair and balanced was appropriate. So I suspect he has backed off so he can continue going to the fancy parties.

The Los Angeles Times has a despicable front page in their Sunday 1/16/05 opinion section.
What galls me is that pundits for the mainstream media insist that there is no bias. Obviously delusional.

(CBS) Senator Edward Kennedy, (D-MA) and Dan Balz of the Washington Post joined host Bob Schieffer on Face The Nation to discuss the president's inauguration and second term. Read the transcript here:

To me, there is absolutely no reason why the White House shouldn't pull the press credentials of every CBS network and affiliate reporter. Toss them out and let them back in when there is actual balance in their reporting.
Let them whine and complain, but you know what will happen - the network itself will be destroyed because too many of the affiliates are sick and tired of having their reputation destroyed by the big black rock.
