Prayer Thread for My Dad

I just received a call from my brother letting me know our Dad just suffered a stroke and is going into surgury as I write this. He's hell on wheels usually and we pray he recovers successfully. There is a chance we will lose him or he recovers without the ability to speak. The doctors say he has a better than even chance of a good outcome, but at 85 years old I'm requesting your help in the form of prayers.
My Dad is a WWII vet and one hell of a guy. He has never ceased to amaze me with his wide range of abilities and wit.... and even though he has always been tough as nails with me, I love him with all my heart.

This is my very first vanity, or even article, that I've logged since I joined FReeRepublic quite a few years ago so you can see what your prayers mean to me and my family.
May the Lord be with my Dad and you all forevermore.

I lift you and your beloved father up to the God who made you both. He gave you to each other, that you might fulfill His love in the world - the love of a Father for a Son. May you be filled with strength, and may your father be filled with healing, so you may be the love of God embodied.
In Jesus name I pray it...

Prayers for your dad and your entire family, Nam Vet. My family went through a similar situation when my dad had a stroke, and he recovered remarkably well. I pray the same outcome for you and yours.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad.
My prayers are with him, you, and your entire family.
Times like this are hard on all of you.
WKB...prayers needed here.
Thank you so much, in advance.
BTW, this "vanity" is NOT a vanity.
It's one reason FR is here...for FRiends.
