I'll try. Liberals here don't want any justice on the Supreme Court that will overturn the "right to an abortion"--that's the test. Libs use it to keep conservatives (good men and women) out of the courts. And "legislate from the bench" means that judges make new laws (which they have no right to do), when they should just interpret the law.

If anybody else can say it better please do :)

MamaB, I know from experience how difficult a path you are traveling right now. Sometimes the only thing we can understand is that there are reasons for the length of each of our journeys, even when we can't fathom those reasons and feel that our grief in losing our loved ones is insupportable.

I believe that everything we do, good and bad, and everything that happens in our lives, whether happy or tragic, is a learning experience for our souls. As Paul said, "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." One day we will understand why our lives played out as they did, why some of our loved ones went before us, and why we were left behind for a while to finish our tasks.

For now we must endure and abide, learn from our grief and from our time here, and try to have faith to live our lives fully and completely until our turn comes to fully understand as we are understood. I hope and believe that with time all who lose children can find comfort and come through that darkness in our lives to a new understanding. God bless you and keep you and your family.

MamaB, my prayers are with you tonight, and will be with you even harder tomorrow. Losing a child is the worst earthly sorrow for us, God's children, to endure. He is right there with you with His loving arms lovingly and comfortingly around you and Jan's father. Fall into His arms. Let Him help you both bear your heavy burden of sorrow, heartache and of your missing, so badly, your sweet daughter. My parents went through the very same last year. I lost my little sissy to brain cancer. Please know that time helps. Take things day by day. I'm thinking of you.

W talking about his hair: "I think it's a little greyer now."

B, L and W are walking outside, watching the dogs.

W: "Come here, Barney!"

Barney won't come. (laughter)

L: "Come here, Beazley!"

Beazley comes (more laughter)

"I don't want judges that legislate from the bench."
YES!!!**

A judge does not legislate but the liberal ones do.
This is why we have major problems.

Thanks I think I understand somewhat it is a bit like when one of our wacko Judges gives a crazy sentence that in no way reflects the crime.

"Love the long black coat. There's something so forceful and yet mysterious about it on Dubya."

Isn't that just the truth! Soooo handsome. Also reminds me a bit of the long Australian dusters. Something about a man in a long coat!
