I'm glad too that he didn't back down. He has no reason to! I think he gave the perfect answer to that question. They're trying to twist his words on MSNBC right now. It really torks me when they do that. They never ask Teddy Kennedy if he regrets his nasty comments, or any of the other Libs . . . AARRGGGHHH.

It amuses me, tho, that yesterday I heard somewhere that the Pres. has the "lowest" approval rating --something like 51%--of any re-elected pres. I want to say SO WHAT???? He's reelected! He doesn't NEED approval--he's already in!

Now they're criticizing him for expressing his faith, that he couldn't be Pres. without it.

Excuse me, time to change the channel! :-)

"I thought you liked his hair fluffy?"

LOL no, I think that was somebody else. Though I dont care, really. It was really just an observation.

Well you know why they do it, don't you? Ratings. Thats what the MSM is interested in--profits, not truth.

I heard somewhere that the Pres. has the "lowest" approval rating --something like 51%--of any re-elected pres.

That's total b.s. If W's approval rating was that low, then how did he get 63 million people (the most in US history) to re-elect him? You were right to change the channel.

Thanks for posting the dose. I was checking for it until 11 pm EST and the ping didn't show up. I don't understand that, but the dose is always appreciated. Love the quote of the day. The universities should be shaking in their shoes for the awful job they are doing. The universities are the last bastion of liberal bias.

"Out here in Calif. they're the "in" thing to wear! W is a trend- setter!"

I'm in California also, but afraid in my remote area if it doesn't have tree bark or fish scales on it the men won't wear it. If we see a man wearing a tie we know they're a tourist.

Which dog? Barney or the puppy, Beazley (as she's called by the First Lady)????

I forgot about 20/20, which I never watch anyway, but managed to catch all but the first 15 mins, so missed what you are referring to here.

Miss Beazley apparently had an accident on the carpet in the Oval Office poor little puppy was probably frightened of all lights and cables etc.

**The universities are the last bastion of liberal bias**

This is true of academia whether it is British or American IMHO it originated in mainland Europe intellectual and academic circles. It almost seems to be classed as a true academic you have to have these beliefs.

It is all part of their multicritiziusm feminist bias which as I said above came out of Europe, one of the best books I have read on this subject is Telling the Truth by Lynne Cheney.

You notice these things, so what room was the interview conducted in - that is, if you saw it?

Silent-johnny, if snugs doesn't know what room the interview was conducted in, do you? Were they in the private residence, as I think they were last time Bahbah interviewed them?

Note to self - read more before asking the obvious question.

Thanks, snugs and s-j - I read that it was in the Oval Office. Ouchy. Barney was banned from there until he was "trusted", so I'm surprised they let the puppy in there.

I did see the outsidce scenes where Barney ignores the President, Laura says so sweetly, "It's your Daddy calling" - that twisted me up inside for some reason - and Beazley jumped at Barney before ol' Barn decides to slooooooowly amble over to where the President is.

Note to Pres. Bush - carry Barney treats, and bribe the dang dog! The press used to do it, so I'd think he'd take a page from the Press and fill his pockets with "Barney bribes".

Kath - I thought on the early "still in the crib with Mom" pictures of Beazley, that I saw uneven coloration on Miss Beazely's coat, and the same for some of the pictures of her at the White House. Is this just baby fur?

Or is it what you were referring to about breeder's getting out of the business of breeding Scotties because finding pure-breds is becoming a problem?

Thank you for the running commentary on the TV interview. I missed it. It is often better to read about it on FR than watch it anyway. I'd rather read your comments than watch the TV show. Thanks

It seems you answered all your questions yourself (lol). As for what room the interview was held, I don't really know. I had one eye on the TV and the other on my monitor.
