I honestly don't think Michael Douglas dislikes Catherine Zeta Jones. He's said he wanted to date her from looking at her, and of course we all go for looks at first because we SEE a person first. But if Douglas didn't enjoy Jones's company he wouldn't just marry her to look at her. I've been out with some stunning women and most of them are boring because they never had to try hard to keep a man's attention. When I didn't call back for a second date (and I ain't rich or great looking) they frequently called me back because they couldn't believe someone didn't want to go out with them again.
Jones's looks help get attention, but if being with her was miserable, Douglas would be on to the next one.

Rush's personal life is his own business. And the truth is that he shares far more details of his personal life than anyone of his level of fame. He knows he's not perfect and he is able to laugh about it, some of his critics should follow his example.

Truth be told I do not know Rush personally so I can not concur with your opinion.
I do know that Rush admitted to being an addict on the air and he admitted his addiction was over a decade old.
I am sure addiction to pain killers can kill a marriage...don't ya' think?
He might be more successful in a marriage now that he is clean.

Women want to be in a relationship with guys they can seriously talk to - unfortunately, a lot of those guys want to be in relationships with women they don't have to talk to. I don't see the problem here.

I didn't read it as if he was speaking of strictly a marriage scenario.
He was speaking about man's idea of the perfect woman as a mate.
Who here thinks Rush is not qualified to talk about what men want in a relationship?

I think I know the book you reference and I read a bit of it at Borders recently and thought, why not treat PEOPLE this way. With kindness and caring. (Didn't read the bits on sex, so I can't comment on that area.)

And to all of those who just can't help themselves from criticizing Rush for his marriages, I believe there is a bible passage having to do with sinners, stones and houses of glass. There is. Maybe you could apply it to Rush as well.

I just shut up and nod my head every now and then! Also, when they say something that really irritates you, you are so much better off pretending your ears don't work.

Limbaugh just split with what, wife number three? While I don't have any use for Maureen Dowd's views on anything, I don't really think Limbaugh is a position to offer anyone advice on relationships, marital or otherwise.

I do agree with the caller who stated high achieving women have a tendency to be controlling.

Mo wants to think there is some conspiracy that's keeping her from getting a man, but maybe, just maybe, it's because she's not a nice person and is no fun to be around.
Or possibly..
Dowd has set her standards too high for any mere mortal man to meet(?) Many men are like that as well. I met an 82 old woman. A real crack up. She is a widow who was married to the same man for over fifty years. Unlike the Brad Pitts they passed the 7 year itch multiplied by seven and then some. She told me men want a mother, a whore and a maid all wrapped up into one. LOL, it was hilarious coming out of the mouth of little Miss church lady.

Rush is COMMENTING, not offering advice.
It's COMMENTARY my friends.
Does anyone even listen to his show before posting here?

I kind of felt sorry for her, too. It's like watching someone self destruct in public, isn't it? Embarrassing to watch.
I don't like her politics, but I have sympathy for that feeling of "what's wrong with me?"

Boy, kind of touchy on that subject aren't ya? What, only talk radio hosts are allowed to throw stones and sin? Doubt it.
