On Friday, Michael Marcavage, director of Repent America, and his attorney, Scott Shields of Shields and Hoppe, who is the criminal defense attorney for the 'Philadelphia 5', will appear on Good Morning America to discuss the OutFest arrests and the blatant disregard for our civil liberties.
Read the original post again dog breath ... catch a clue.
When you go to a demonstration with signs and a bullhorn; you are indeed disruptiong the event. They were harassed, because the ONLY reason they went to the event was to harass event goers.
Again, this has little to do with Christianity; this was a group of people out to show their power and to garner attention; Christianity was the excuse these people used to get attention. I find very little in common with the actions of this group and the teachings of Christ.
Well it's no secret that the court benches are occupied by liberal activists. I honestly think it wouldn't have mattered if they were on the outside fringes or smack dab in the middle of the place. After reading the report that the DOJ attorneys had something to do with the arrests it seems that it would make no difference where they were.
This battle would have to be fought eventually. The homosexuals have been pushing and pushing for legislation that favors their lifestyle for years and they 've made a lot of headway. Look at how many states & cities have been working toward making homosexual marriage legal. Key West's mayor is one of those for it.
It was only a matter of time IMO before something like this happened. I for one, admire the boldness of those Christians who were at Outfest to witness. I feel like such a lightweight Christian compared to some of the apostles and others in the Bible and likewise with these folks who are facing charges. Jesus gave his life so that souls can be with him in heaven, the least we can do is tell others. Maybe if the Christian Americans had been witnessing more in the past 20-30 yrs we wouldn't be in the boat we're in as a nation right now.
In the grand scheme of things it must have been in God's plan for these folks to go through this ordeal. I pray for their strength daily!
We can't blame them for what the court is doing. We also can't hide out for fear of retribution. It looks like the line has been drawn in the sand.
I think the silence of the Philly clergy speaks volumes. They are like the Germans who knew what was going and did nothing when Hitler began his regime of terror. Now is not the time to be afraid!
We've had protesters outside our church from time to time. Usually with a big sign and not much to say though! Everyone is welcome at our church and surprising why more of those who claim we are untolerant won't come to find out how tolerant we are. They are the ones who don't have tolerance. The ZER0 tOlerance f0r Christians era is in full swing.
This sounds like you were there?
Like the bass speakers blasting from passing cars couldn't be heard at Outfest either. Free Speech doesn't have a decibal limit on it.
I've seen that pic before! Good job BB!
I guess Jesus wasn't very Christlike when he purged the temple of the moneychangers. /sarcasm
Christianity isn't passive always. Because it has been too passive for way too long we find some folks charged with a hate crime.
It all depends on who the "Christians" are protesting against. It is apparent that Christians aren't allowed to protest against the gay lifestyle, but if you're an evangelical "christian", you can protest against Mormons--on the Mormon's private property no less--and get away with it.
Not only can the evos protest with huge signs and banners, they can shout obscenities and insults at the Mormons as they go to their meetings.
All we really need is a little sanity in the clash of ideas, and we're not getting it in the City of Brotherly Buggery Love, nor in Salt Lake City.
Kate is disgusting, her bias is way obvious, and her agenda is clear!!
I hope since I had the wrong show, and it's a different channel that they will at least make the facts clear.
BiNgO!
It doesn't matter what you think a good Christian should do. It's illegal to arrest people for being Christians, even if you are embarrassed by their form of Christianity, or you're offended by Christianity as a whole. It doesn't matter why you don't like these particular Christians. They didn't break any laws. Offending someone, no matter how politically incorrect you are, is not illegal. Yet.
Gays "Strut their Stuff" at their "parades" for a reason. Psychologists say that exhibitionism is a defense mechanism for guilt. Those strutters actually feel guilt, but they can't admit that so they act out to cover their shame and guilt.
The attendees at an event do not require a permit to attend.
I read it, jerk off. I also read your stupid reply, hinting at something else that you don't have the balls to say.
Have you watched the video? Probably not if you think they were arrested lawfully.
Philly Pride Presents is as about as grassroots of an organization as you can get, and duly proud of it. Philly Pride is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its meetings are the first Saturday of every month and are open to the public. It makes a public accounting of its funds to the community after each event. Its coordinators are elected by all community members present at their meetings. The organization has registered trade names of Philly Pride Presents and OutFest.
Philly has targeted the homosexuals in advertising the "City of Broverly Love". I've heard that some of the homosexuals involved were with the Justice Dept. Dig a little bit deeper into the story and see what you come up with.
I agree 100%.
They are going to give the left an opportunity to restrict their activities even more. We do have to get smarter with strategy.
