OK! I give up! At the risk of being told that I'm wasting everyones time here. Can someone please tell me W.I.T.H. a "ZOT" is and what is the significance of the kittens/cats that seem to be mandatorily displayed with any discussion of a zot?

How can you have been around so long and not know these things?
Imagine an enormous bolt of lightening hitting you - that's a ZOT. The mods either let us play with the troll for a while or they pull the thread, either way you've been zotted.
The Viking Kitties have long and colorful origination story that someone else will link to in another post. Basically, they are a visual code for punishing trolls. You've seen cats play with mice, right? Same deal.
